Flesh Hags

Flesh hags are brutish fey that sport a dense hide of rippling muscle and are armed with jagged claws and large teeth. Flesh hags are considered to be primitive variants of their kind that rely on brute strength and endurance over their spellcasting abilities. The rudimentary spellcasting ability that these creatures do possess typically involve spells that physically enhance their hulking forms and incredible strength.

Flesh Eaters

Despite their primitive nature, flesh hags are considered to be even more dangerous than other hags because of their appetite for human flesh. These hags are notorious for forming small covens dedicated to hunting humanoids and will sneak into humanoid settlements under the cover of night to carry off their victims.

Unnatural Physiology

Flesh hags are terrifying creatures to encounter. One of the most disturbing aspects about their physiology is their uncanny ability to slip through narrow passages despite their huge form. Flesh hags have the terrifying ability to disjoint the limbs at will, bending them to unnatural positions to enable the hag to close the distance on its prey with little difficulty.

Flesh Hag Tactics

Unlike the rest of their kind, flesh hags are skilled melee combatants whose primary weapons are their sharpened claws and teeth. Typically, flesh hags can be found in groups of three, each fighting with an unspoken coordination that overwhelms all but the most stalwart of defense.

Hungering Hex

Despite their primitive nature, flesh hags are still quite proficient in the art of hexcraft. Creatures afflicted with this curse are marked with a brand that fuels the flesh hag's hunger. Once marked, it is nearly impossible for their prey to escape the hags as it has the ability to immediately teleport right next to their cursed foe.

Brutal Consumption

However, the most frightening tactic these hags employ is their mid-battle feeding. When a creature dies, flesh hags will not hesitate to gorge upon their prey and invoke a sense of paralyzing fear onto any creature that witnesses such a gruesome act.
