Warlock Patron

The Oblivion

You forged a pact with an Oblivion, one of the enigmatic entities that inhabits the rift between dimensions. Such beings often have inscrutable aims and have little concern over the fate that ultimately befalls your dimension. Despite the unfathomable nature of the Oblivion, they possess unknowable knowledge and are capable of granting powers beyond comprehension. For such entities, the affairs of dimensional beings barely register to them, but the scant few that take interest are immensely powerful even beyond the cosmic veil that prevents them from manifesting in your dimension or in others.

Expanded Spell List

The Oblivion lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Know the Unknown

Starting at 1st level, the Oblivion occasionally shares knowledge it has collected from other dimensions with you through your pact. You gain proficiency and expertise in the Arcana and Occultism skills.

The Occultism skill is an Intelligence based skill that focuses on the esoteric and the erudite.

Local Gravity

Also at 1st level, you learn how to modify your local gravitational field. You gain the ability to hover up to 5 feet off the ground. While hovering in this way you cannot be knocked prone and you take no falling damage.

Fade Away

Starting at 6th level, you gain the ability to momentarily fade out of existence to protect yourself. When a creature hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to phase into the Ethereal Plane- in the same manner as the Etherealness spell- causing the attack to miss instead. Moreover, you can immediately move up to your movement as part of this reaction. You phase back into the plane you originated from at the beginning of your next turn.

Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Dimensional Forge

Starting at 10th level, you gain the ability to temporarily pull objects from other realities into your own. Whenever you complete a short or long rest, you can conjure any rare or lower magic or mundane item of your choice that you know of. Magic items that require attunement immediately attune to you when conjured using this ability. If you have no free attunement slots, you can choose to immediately unattune from a magic item of your choice. Magic items conjured in this way return to their world whenever you conjure a new one. You can have a number of mundane items conjured in this way equal to your spellcasting ability modifier. Conjuring additional mundane items beyond this number returns the oldest one to its world.

Reality Tear

Starting at 14th level, you gain the ability to not only tear away the barriers between dimensions allowing the rift to bleed into your reality. As an action, you can cause the boundary between reality and the rift to blur around you in a 30-foot radius sphere. The sphere is centered on yourself and moves with you. It lasts for up to 1 minute or until you end it (no action required). While you remain within the blur, you gain the following benefits:

  • You are resistant to all damage.
  • You can hover up to 60 feet off the ground using Local Gravity.
  • You regain use of Fade Away if it has been expended.
  • You can use Dimensional Forge once without needing to complete a short or long rest.

Once you use this feature you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
