Druid Circle
Circle of Slime
Druids that follow in the teachings of the Circle of Slime are few and far between, but each is possessed by the belief that oozes are noble creatures who cleanse the world of its detritus. In an effort to emulate those that they hold in such high esteem, druids who claim affiliation to this circle imbibe concoctions that afford them strange ooze-like abilities. Those few druids of the Circle of Slime are enigmatic and eccentric, often living in moisture rich locales favored by oozes.
Circle Spells
The strange brew that you drank, permanently altered the nature of your intrinsic connection to the land- afflicting it with a slimy film. As a result, you have learned how to tap into this changed understanding to develop incantations that emulates the role of the ooze, that you might help melt away the filth of the world. You learn the Acid Splash cantrip and you are granted access to some spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the Circle of Slime Spells table.
Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn't count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn't appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.
Circle of Slime Spells
| Druid Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 2nd | Caustic Brew |
| 3rd | Acid Arrow |
| 5th | Vampiric Touch |
| 7th | Vitriolic Sphere |
| 9th | Enervation |
Gelatinous Form
At 2nd level, you can abandon your form, causing it to lose cohesion and take on the consistency of translucent slime. As an action, you can expend one use of your Wild Shape feature to take on your gelatinous form, rather than transforming into a beast.
While in this form, you retain your game statistics, but your form takes on a slime-like consistency. Your skin becomes unusually pliable and your limbs can bend in ways they normally cannot. The form lasts for 10 minutes. It ends early if you dismiss it (no action required), are incapacitated, die, or use this feature again. While in your gelatinous form, you gain the following benefits:
- You gain resistance to acid damage.
- You cannot be knocked prone.
- You gain the ability to make attacks with a pseudopod. Attacks made with it are considered melee spell attacks. If you hit, you deal bludgeoning damage equal to 4d6 plus your Wisdom modifier.
- You deal 2d6 acid damage to creatures that touch you or hits you with a melee attack while within 5 feet of you.
Decadent Detritus
Also at 2nd level, your constitution adjusts to allow you consume almost any organic material without risk of illness granting you immunity to disease.
Viscous Defense
At 6th level, your constitution alters even further, causing your internal organs to melt together into a single consistent goo. When you are hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to gain temporary hit points equal to 2d8 + your level in this class. You also gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage for that attack.
Amorphous Adaptation
At 10th level, your form grows ever closer to perfection, as your skin begins to turn semi-translucent and slimy to the touch. While you are in your gelatinous form, you gain the following additional benefits:
- You gain blindsight out to a range of 60 feet.
- You gain the effects of the Spider Climb spell.
- You gain the ability to move through spaces as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.
- Your pseudopod can be shot up to 60 feet as a ranged spell attack.
- Whenever you deal acid damage while in your gelatinous form, you roll two additional damage dice and add them to the total.
Slime Self
At 14th level, you gain the unnerving ability to create a near perfect duplicate of yourself out of slime. You learn the Simulacrum spell, which is always prepared for you and does not count against the number of prepared spells you can have. The spell is modified for you in the following ways:
- It has no material component.
- It is an Ooze.
- It has hit points equal to your hit point maximum.
- It does not have spell slots.
- It permanently gains the benefits of your Gelatinous Form.
- It melts into a pile of slime, when destroyed.
You can cast Simulacrum without expending a spell slot once using this feature, regaining the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. If you cast Simulacrum in this way, the simulacrum lasts up to 10 minutes, after which it melts into a pile of slime.
