Sorcerer Origin

Oracle Sorcery

Cryptic visions of the future plague your existence as you carry a spark of divination magic within you. This arcane spark can have any number of origins. For some this spark is a gift passed down through their family line, the mark of inheritance in many cases. For others it is a burden that they must carry, planted deep inside them via magical means. Regardless of whether one sees their visions as a blessing or a curse, Oracles wield the power to peer into the future and influence events before they come to pass.

Prophetic Magic

At 1st level, you learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Oracle Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn't count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.

Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be a divination or illusion spell from any spell list.

Oracle Spells

Sorcerer Level Spells
1st Identify, Illusory Script
3rd Augury, Phantasmal Force
5th Clairvoyance, Hypnotic Pattern
7th Divination, Phantasmal Killer
9th Legend Lore, Dream

Guiding Visions

Also at 1st level, you experience brief glimpses into the near future that reveal how things will come to pass if your current course of action remains unchanged. You learn the Guidance and True Strike cantrips, which don't count against the number of Sorcerer cantrips you know. For you, they have a range of 30 feet, and you can cast them as a reaction and casting them in this way does not end your concentration on your other spells.

No Surprises

At 6th level, lurking dangers are revealed to you mere instants before they become an immediate threat. You can't be surprised and you have advantage on Perception checks made to spot hidden creatures or traps. You also have advantage on your initiative rolls.

One Step Ahead

At 14th level, your premonitions begin to show you how your spells will effect your friends and foes. You have a pool of d4s equal to your proficiency bonus called Foretell Die. Whenever you make an ability check, saving throw, or attack you may expend one Foretell Die and add the result to your total. You may also expend a Foretell Die to increase the DC of your spells by the amount rolled. You regain all expended Foretell Die when you complete a long rest.

Whispers of Doom

Starting at 18th level, you are assaulted with haunting visions of your own end, but you also glean how to avoid it as well. You gain proficiency in all saving throws and you can add a d4 to every saving throw you make.
