Slimelight Oozelings

Slimelight oozelings are a rather peculiar variant of oozeling as they are notorious for their luminescent appearance. Slimelight oozelings are extremely beautiful creatures as they almost resemble living lava lamps. Their blob-like bodies naturally give off a dull ambient glow that varies across the entire color spectrum depending on the individual and in some case their mood. However, their glowing forms are complemented by swirling patterns of bubbles that float with their form, slowly changing shape and color over time.

Dangerous Habitats

Unfortunately, slimelight oozelings are only found in the most hostile of environments as they typically can be found near volcanic fissures, or underground magma caves, and in some cases, they somehow find themselves on the Elemental Plane of Fire or even the Nine Hells. How they wander into these hostile planes is still a mystery to this day.

Benevolent Aid

Despite living in such brutal environments, slimelight oozelings are well known, or even in some case notorious, for their benevolence. Many accounts tell of how glowing slimes have aided stranded or wounded travelers guiding them out of such dangerous terrain. However, just like all other kinds of oozelings, they have a lot of difficult understanding humanoids and their mannerism and sometimes end up doing more harm than good, despite their good intentions. Accounts about their encounter describe them accidentally incinerating valuables or gifting their newfound companions beautiful, but still molten hot magma crystals. They seem to have difficulty understanding that some creatures are not fireproof.

Living Napalm

Although they are naturally friendly creatures, it is wise not to make them angry, albeit it is rumored that it actually takes a lot to make these oozes angry. However, when antagonized, their immediately escalate to the highest degrees of violence that they can muster. Despite their small and clumsy forms, they can prove to be quite dangerous due to their ability to fling heated slime at their foes that acts as a miniature napalm, that explodes on contact. To make matters worse, if the oozeling is slain, its oozing body will instantly combust causing an explosion that showering burning napalm on all creatures in range.
