The Wild Hunt

The Wild Hunt are a sect of powerful fey that hail from various Unseelie kingdoms within the Feywild, realms which are known for otherworldly darkness and frost. Because of their mysterious origins, many consider their existence to be a myth or fairy tale. However, the Wild Hunt is a very real phenomenon that strikes fear upon those who witness it. Although their rumored appearance seems to always coincide with nighttime and full moons, it never seems to happen in a predictable or consistent pattern. However, the Wild Hunt only lasts for one night for as soon as the sun begins to rise, each member of the Wild Hunt will automatically be transported back to the Feywild.

Mysterious Occurrences

The motives for the Wild Hunt seem to be entirely unclear. Some believe that the Wild Hunt act on behest of various archfey and are considered as a call of war against chosen enemies of their fey rulers. Whether it is by ancient foundational magics of the Feywild, or utilizing the heightened ley lines between the realms during a full moon, the Wild Hunt appear in massive hordes phasing between the Feywild and Material Plane to relentless hunt down their foes until sunrise.

Other scholars simply believe that the Wild Hunt is a form of entertainment for powerful fey who seek to test the might and will of mortals for their own amusement. This theory is reinforced by the fact that those targeted by the Wild Hunt are never found again as their bodies are never found suggesting that they could be used as trophies or souvenirs from their expedition.

Wild Hunt Stalkers

When the Hunt begins, wild stalkers are tasked with find potential targets to serve as game. As the Hunt only lasts until sunrise, the stalkers must be quick and efficient in finding suitable target. Although they relish in the thrill of the hunt with rest of their kin, they also serve as personal assassins for their archfey masters. During the Wild Hunt, stalkers are typically tasked with high priority targets that they are required to kill for their masters, typically those who have earned the ire of the archfey.

Shadow Assassins

Due to their mastery of shadow magic, these fey are perfect adapted to silently taking out their opponent with little difficulty. They are well known for the keen accuracy and are able to snipe targets with perfect precision form over 500ft. away through the smallest of openings.
