Glacial Repose
4th-level evocation
- Classes: Druid, Sorcerer, Wizard
- Casting Time: 1 reaction, which you take in response to being damaged
- Range: Self
- Components: V
- Duration: 1 round
You fill the space you occupy with thick ice, trapping yourself inside until the end of your next turn.
The ice covering you is considered an object with AC 10, 20 hit points, vulnerability to fire damage, and immunity to acid, cold, necrotic, poison, and psychic damage. While covered in this ice, you are affected in the following ways:
- You are considered to be paralyzed, and have full cover.
- You regain 5d8 hit points after the spell is cast, and 2d8 hit points when it ends.
- If the triggering damage reduces you to 0 hit points, the spell lasts for 1 minute instead and you regain 2d8 hit points at the end of each of your turns.
If the ice surrounding you is destroyed before the spell ends, you are paralyzed until the end of your next turn.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, increase any hit points regained by 1d8, and the maximum hit points of the ice by 5, for each slot level above 4th.
