Shadar-Kai Deathweavers
Many shadar-kai spellcasters practice a special form of arcane arts known as the Deathweave. Due to their special attunement to the life magic that flows between all living things, these shadar-kai mages are able to use this magical energy as a focus to project their spells towards their opponents. The fundamentals of the Deathweave revolve around the principles of using one’s life force as fuel for their arcane abilities. Not only do their spells become much more potent the closer their target is to death, they also are able to use the soul of the slain to refuel their magical reserves.
Keepers of the Deatheaver
The shadar-kai are extremely secretive of their arcane knowledge which is often sought out by many necromancers who seek to expand their arcane capabilities. Because of these technique's abiliyu to siphon the energy of the soul of a living creature, many arcanists believe that the Deathweave lays the foundations for the basic magics required for ascension to lichhood; hence, the reason why many shadar-kai refuse to share this knowledge to outsiders.
