Tarrasque, the Great Devourer

From the eldritch chasms of time's inception, the Tarrasque, known as the Great Devourer, emerges as the embodiment of apocalypse and ultimate destruction. Legends whisper of its colossal form, a monstrosity eclipsing mountains and casting shadows that swallow entire villages, with armored scales tougher than any known metal and teeth that can rend through the sturdiest fortifications. Its vast, unblinking eyes are said to gaze with an abyssal emptiness, heralding the end times and rendering hopeless any who meet its gaze.

Its very presence is cataclysmic. Where the Tarrasque treads, the earth quakes and groans, landscapes are reshaped, and the skies darken with foreboding storms. Every step, every roar, serves as a devastating testament to its unfathomable power. No mortal weapon or magic has been known to halt its relentless advance; cities crumble beneath it, forests wither away, and waters turn to mires of desolation. Its insatiable hunger is said to consume not only the physical but also the ethereal, draining the very essence of life and magic wherever it goes.

Villain Actions

  • Shell Save If you fail a Save, you can lose 1 AC and AP to succeed on it instead. You cannot use this while you have 0 AP. You regain your AC and AP after 1 hour.
  • Sound of the Apocalypse: When you roll for Initiative, you can make an unbearable sound that brings despair to all mortals.
  • All creatures within 1.000 feet of you must make an Endurance Save (DC 24) or take 4d12 sonic damage on a fail, or half as much on a success.
  • Any creature that takes this sonic damage must also succeed on an Insight Save (DC 24) or become Scared of you for 3 turns.
  • Unstoppable You ignore harsh terrain and cannot be Immobilized by any means.
  • Unbreakable Posture You are immune to all damage while you have Posture, except for damages types you have weakness.

Abilities

  • Colossus Climb An Enormous or smaller creature can attempt to climb onto you. When it does, it must succeed on an Athletics Save (DC 24) or fall.

  • A creature with a Climbing Speed as their Base speed automatically succeeds this Save. If you hit an Attack against a creature that is climbing you, that creature must also repeat the Save. A creature that climbs 120 feet can reach your neck.

  • If a creature deals slash or thrust damage with a Melee Attack against your neck, you become weak to that Attacks damage.

  • Influence Weakness A creature can only influence you using the Religion skill. If it succeeds, your attitude increases by 2 instead of just 1.

  • Heavy Impact When you hit an Attack against any creature, that creature must then succeed on an Athletics Save (DC 24), or be pushed 30 feet away and become Stunned and Knocked Prone.

  • Bite: Hit +16, Dmg 4d12 thrust
  • Armor Piercer: You ignore all AP
  • Swallow (Concentration): On a hit, the target must succeed on a Brawling Save (DC 24) or be swallowed by you if it’s Gigantic or smaller. While swallowed:
  • • Shares the same space as you.
  • • Is in Full Cover.
  • • Becomes Paralyzed if it has 0 Posture.
  • • Takes 6d10 acid damage at the start of its turns. Any Construct or Armor/Shield/Weapon being used by a creature also takes 1 Corrosion Point when they take this acid damage.
  • You can have an unlimited amount of creatures swallowed at once, but you vomit all of them if you lose Concentration.
  • Long Reach: The reach of this Attack is 60 feet.
  • Triumph: You can only use this Action once per round.
  • Stomp Hit +16, Dmg 4d12 strike
  • Smash: All creatures within 120 feet of you on the ground take 2d12 strike damage.
  • Long Reach: The reach of this Attack is 60 feet.
  • Tail Strike: Hit +16, Dmg 3d12 slash, strike or thrust
  • Knocker: On a hit, a target smaller than you becomes Knocked Prone and takes double Posture damage.
  • Long Reach: The reach of this Attack is 120 feet.
  • Life Ending Breath All creatures within an 120 feet wide and 300 feet long area in front of you must succeed on an Endurance Save (DC 24) or become Poisoned (3d8, 3 turns). A creature that is already Poisoned takes 9d8 poison damage instead.
  • The area also becomes covered in toxic gas for 8 hours. Any creature within the area is completely Blinded, begins to Suffocate and must succeed on an Endurance Save (DC 24) at the start of its turn or become Poisoned (2d8, 3 turns).
  • The gas can be dispersed earlier by strong winds.
  • Big Triumph: You can only use this Action once.
