Mirror Soul

The grip over the mind can be absolute, much like nature and reality. The mind is powerful and yet, once it's been tricked, could make the devout lose their faith or a healthy body fall ill.

You are a master of illusory arcane magics and your abilities to craft and detect illusions are better than that of the average mage. If everyone and everything hears, sees, and feels a tree fall, it must be the truth, does it not?

Mirror Magic

Starting at 1st level, you learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Mirror Soul Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn't count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.

Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be from the school of either Illusion or Enchantment.

Mirror Soul Spells
Sorcerer Level Spells
1st disguise self, silent image
3rd blur, phantasmal force
5th hypnotic pattern, major image
7th confusion, phantasmal killer
9th dream, mislead

Reality Shaper

At 1st level, you gain the ability to detect illusions within 30 feet of you and increase your skill checks and saving throws against illusion spells, for a limited time, an amount of times per day equal to half your Proficiency Bonus (rounded down). You can also use this feature for free if you choose to concentrate for 1 minute. When this feature is used, it lasts for 10 minutes.

Illusion spells from the Mirror Soul extended spell list have their Concentration requirement removed at the cost of 1 Sorcery Point.

Illusion spells cast by you do not require material components up to a maximum gp value of 100.

Trick of the Light

Starting at 1st level, when you cast an illusion spell that a creature can see, you can prime the illusion with volatile light. Primed Illusions gain the following effects:

  • The illusion becomes tangible, charged with an explosive hard-light. As they have a physical form, they no longer pass through objects and can be felt or touched.
  • At your discretion, no action required, the illusion shatters into small, light-refracting shards of force energy. These illusory explosions deal 1d4 + your Charisma modifier slashing damage in a 10-foot radius sphere.
  • Increased DC for checks and saving throws equal to the Spells Level + the amount of Sorcery Points used while casting the spell (min. 1).

This feature's damage scales up as you reach certain levels: 3rd Level(2d4), 5th Level(3d4), 7th Level(4d4), 9th Level(5d4), and 12th level(6d4).

This feature can only be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus until you complete a long rest or you use 1 Sorcery Point per level of the spell cast.

Duplicitous Illusion

At 6th level, you develop the uncanny ability to trick even your own reality, trading it for the reality of an active illusion. You can trade places with an active illusion spell within 30 feet of you. In combat, when you would be hit by an attacking creature, you can use your reaction to swap places with an illusion that is within 30 feet of you.

You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest, otherwise you must use 2 Sorcery Points.

Master of Illusions

At 14th level, your mastery over illusion spells perpetuates their existence. Illusion spells cast by you have their duration and range doubled, the range of your Duplicitous Illusion feature is also doubled, and Investigation checks against your illusion spells are made with disadvantage.

In addition, you can no longer be fooled by illusions and can detect their presence within 60 feet, automatically succeeding on saving throws and checks against illusions spells.

Apotheosis Veil

At 18th level, your Illusions are made reality. By consuming 16 Sorcery Points when you cast an Illusion spell you can force reality to accept your illusion as an undeniable truth.

Illusion spells that require a saving throw are automatically failed, illusion spells that assume the form of objects become real for their duration, and illusion spells which create sound are indistinguishable from the contrary and must be treated as such.

Any image created through this feature is friendly toward you and acts as you command. Sounds created in this way can also be devastatingly destructive, such as the clap of thunder or the roar of a dragon. In this case, treat the sound as though it were a Shatter spell cast at 7th level and the affected targets are also Deafened.

You may use this feature twice before you must complete a long rest to use it again.
