Scavenger
When you choose this path at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in Survival and Cook's Utensils.
Carnivorous
Starting at 3rd level, you can go into a feeding frenzy when you rage. If you do so, for the duration of your rage, you can make a single bite attack when you enter your rage, and as a bonus action on each of your turns after this one. Your jaw counts as a simple melee weapon for you, and you add your Strength modifier to the attack and damage rolls when you attack with it, as normal. Your jaw deals 1d8 piercing damage on a hit. This damage increases to 2d8 at 10th level, 3d8 at 15th level, and 4d8 at 20th level.
Digestion
Beginning at 6th level, you make sure to chew your food thoroughly in order to properly digest it. Your Jaw is considered magical for the purposes of overcoming resistances. Additionally, you manifest a physical trait depending on the type of creature you last bit with your Jaw attack during your rage, including yourself. This benefit lasts until you finish a long rest, or until you bite a different living creature with your Jaws during your rage and choose to manifest the new trait.
| Creature Type | Manifestation |
|---|---|
| Beast | You gain a climbing speed, flying speed or a swimming speed equal to your walking speed, depending on the type of movement the beast has. Additionally, you gain any senses the beast had, such as Darkvision. |
| Dragon | Gain a breath weapon matching the type of breath weapon of the last dragon you bit. See the Dragonborn racial ability for details. |
| Giant | You physically increase by one size. Additionally, you count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift. |
| Humanoid | You gain a number of temporary HP equal to your CON modifier. |
| Monstrocity | You choose a physical modification, resembling the monster that you bit. For example, an owlbear may give you claws, or a beak (your choice), while a kraken may give you tentacles for arms. Regardless, this manifestation counts as a melee weapon for you, and deals 2d6 damage + your Strength modifier, as normal. |
| Ooze | You gain resistance to Acid damage. Additionally, you can digest nonmagical material usually seen as inedible. You can eat up to a number of pounds equal to your CON modifier per long rest. |
| Plant | You gain the ability to communicate in a limited manner with beasts, plants, and vegetation. They can understand the meaning of your words, though you have no special ability to understand them. You have advantage on all CHA checks you make to influence them. Additionally, if you are completely still for at least one minute, you gain advantage on Stealth checks as long as you remain there without moving or taking actions. |
Salted Meats
At 10th level, you gain the self-control to harvest some of the meat and save it for later. Immediately after a combat encounter, you can attempt a Survival check to harvest a number of dead creatures equal to half your CON modifier, rounded up (minimum 1). The DC for this check depends on its size, as seen in the table below. On a failed save, the creature parts are spoiled or unusable. On a success, you harvest 1 serving that you can store and eat later as a bonus action, as it remains fresh, to gain the benefit presented above. Only you may gain these benefits from eating the serving, and these raw servings expire after one workweek.
| Creature Size | Survival Check DC |
|---|---|
| Gargantuan | 10 |
| Huge | 12 |
| Large | 14 |
| Medium | 16 |
| Small | 18 |
| Tiny | 20 |
