Monk:

Way of the Wind

The way of the Wind is one of serenity and flow. It teaches tranquility and the release of control and restraint. These monks are calm and focused, flowing through the battlefield on gentle breezes, akin to the quiet before the storm.

What led you down this path of calm composure? Some find their peace in solitude, while others in camaraderie. Have you found your peace, or do you still seek it?

Flowing stance

3rd level Way of the Wind feature
You gain proficiency in martial weapons that lack the heavy property. When you are hit by a melee weapon attack, you can use your reaction to expend 1 ki point and deflect the blow.

When you do so, the damage you take from the attack is reduced by 1d10 + your Dexterity modifier + your monk level. If you reduce the damage to 0, you can make one unarmed strike or weapon attack using a monk weapon against the attacker as part of the same reaction.

Gale step

6th level Way of the Wind feature
When you use Step of the wind, you no longer expend any ki points. When you use it, the next melee weapon attack you make before the beginning of your next turn deals additional force damage on a hit equal to two rolls of your martial arts die.

At 11th level, the damage of this feature increases to three rolls of your Martial Arts die.

Skyward blessing

11th level Way of the Wind feature
You gain a flying speed equal to your movement speed. In addition, you cannot be grappled, restrained, or paralyzed.

Tempest cut

17th level Way of the Wind feature
Your strikes carry the fury of the storm. As an action, you can expend 5 ki points to cast Steel wind strike without expending a spell slot, using Wisdom as your spellcasting modifier.
