As a witch, you've studied the mysteries of the foretelling stars, of the brilliant depths, and the coldest reaches of death, learning how to barter for strange powers. You are gifted a companion who will guide you on your journey of becoming a Hag, a process that will require a tight knit coven that you must aid as you they aid you.
Bonded Through Blood
When you choose this school at 2nd level, once per short rest, you may use an action to summon a familiar by taking damage equal to your proficiency bonus. The familiar summoned follows all the same rules as the spell find familiar. While your familiar is summoned, you may use your bonus action to use the Help action on an ally you can see if you or your familiar are within 5 feet of an ally.
Witch's Wrath
Also at 2nd level, you add witch bolt to your spell book and you may cast it unprepared if your familiar summoned. When cast, witch bolt gains the following:
Cackle. While concentrating on this spell, you may select and attack a new target by using your action.
The Evil Eye. The range is 60 feet and increases by 10 feet for each spell slot used of 2nd and above.
Jinx of Distraction. After using your action to deal damage to the target, the first d20 test made by the target is made with disadvantage.
Familiar's Presecence
At 6th level, while you can see your familiar, you may add your Intelligence modifier to Charisma (Deception) checks and to Constitution saving throws made when concentrating on witch bolt.
Quid Pro Quo
Call upon terrifying forces for dark powers, but they take as much as you gain. Also at 6th level you may cast a divination or necromancy spell that takes less than a minute to cast from any spell list of a level that you have Wizard spell slots for up to 5th level; you may cast that spell as an action. A spell slot is not expended by casting a spell in this way, but you must follow all the other rules of casting spells.
Once cast, your maximum hit points are reduced by a number of d8s equal to the level of spell cast until the end of your next long rest.
A Small Sacrifice
At 10th level, you may sacrifice your familiar as a bonus action to empower your magics. Once within the next 10 minutes, when you deal damage a creature or force a creature to roll a saving throw, you may choose one or both of the following effects to add:
Torment. Deal extra necrotic damage equal to your Wizard level.
Wither. The saving throw is rolled with disadvantage.
Witch's Brew
Also at 10th level, you may increase the casting time of a spell cast using a spell slot by 10 minutes to reduce the gold required to a tenth of the cost.
Hag's Feast
At 14th level, twice per long rest, if you are concentrating on a spell cast on a humanoid, you may use an action and expend a spell slot to consume some of their life. Until next dawn or dusk (whichever is later), the target's maximum hit points decrease by an amount equal to triple spell slot expended, you cannot die of old age, and you may cast disguise self at will.
As you consume the cursed's life, you may choose yourself or an ally you can see within 30 feet of you to heal hit points and gain temporary hit points equal to half your Wizard level.
