## Martial Archetype: Moonsworn Moonsworn Fighters are people who have become bonded with the moon and its powers. They use different stances and forms in combat for great adaptability, as well as being known for their silvery radiant appearance and knowledge over the moons. | Level | Features | |:---:|:-----------:| | 3rd | Moonblade, Moon Stance | | 7th | Lunar Sage | | 10th | Moon Forms | | 15th | Moonborne | | 18th | Moonlit Grove | ### Moonblade Starting at third level you can perform an hour-long ritual to create a bond with your weapon. You can summon your Moon Blade as a bonus action, or dismiss it as a free action. When dismissed, your weapon is safely stored on a demiplane. Your Moon Blade sheds dim light in a 10 feet radius. Additionally, all attacks made with your Moon Blade can use Wisdom instead of Strength or Dexterity. \columnbreak ### Moon Stance Starting at third level, you can enter one of the following stances as a bonus action. You can shift between stances as a bonus action. *
Full Moon:
The Moon shines at its brightest, a stance for reckless aggression. While in this form, you lose your extra attack feature, but you gain the following benefits - When calculating damage for your attack, you can multiply the amount of damage dies by an amount equal to your number of attacks, and the bonuses by the same number. All damage types become radiant. Any damage that would only benefit one attack (like but not limited to sneak attack) is lost. - The attack is always made as a straight roll, it can neither benefit from advantage or disadvantage. - The attack deals additional radiant damage equal to your wisdom modifier times your number of attacks However, while in this stance, your focus solely on the offense, leaving your defence wide open to attacks. Any creature attacking you gains a bonus to their attack rolls and damage rolls equal to half their proficiency Bonus. *
Crescent Moon:
The Moon grows, a stance for advancement and progression. Your movement increases by an amount equal to your Proficiency Bonus times 5, and you can't be targeted by attacks of opportunity or have your movement speed altered in negative ways. At 15th level, you also gain the benefits of evasion. However, the amount of inputs your receive makes you susceptible to external affliction. You gain disadvantage in Strength, Wisdom, Intelligence and Charisma saves. *
Waning Moon:
The Moon recedes, a stance for defence and protection. You gain a bonus to your AC equal to your Wisdom Modifier, can't be moved or knocked prone against your will and any critical hit against you becomes a normal hit. Additionally at 15th level, as a reaction, you may become resistant to one instance of damage. However, while in this stance, you may only do half of the attacks you would usually do (rounded down), and you can't move more than 10 feet a round willingly. *
New Moon:
The Moon banishes, a stance for secrecy and scouting. Your body banishes, just like the moon, and your body becomes moonlight. While in the form of moonlight, you can't talk or manipulate objects, and any objects it was carrying or holding can't be dropped, used, or otherwise interacted with and you can't attack or cast spells either. You gain the following benefits. - While in this stance, the target's only method of movement is a flying speed equal to its walking speed. - You can enter and occupy the space of another creature. - You can pass through small holes, narrow openings, and even mere cracks, though it treats liquids as though they were solid surfaces.. The target can't fall and remains hovering in the air even when stunned or otherwise incapacitated. - You are invisible, and have a bonus to stealth checks equal to your wisdom modifier.
\pagebreak ### Lunar Sage Starting at 7th level, you always know the time of the day and what’s the current phase of the moon/s, even while underground. You additionally gain advantage on all checks related to the moon and its folklore, as well as proficiency in the religion skill. Finally, Temples, Conclaves or Circles that associate themselves with the Moon or a god tied to the moon will welcome you as one of their own, and try to help you in your endeavours as long as it brings no harm to them. ### Moon Forms Starting at 10th level, you learn 3 Techniques. You can use a technique as an action by spending some of your Moonlight. You have an amount of Moonlight equal to your wisdom modifier. You can only use a technique every two turns. Doing so more often causes you to gain a level of exhaustion. The Moon Forms sometimes require saves, your save DC is calculated in the following way:
8 + Proficiency Bonus + Wisdom Modifier
* **First Form: Moonlight Ray piercing the Treetops** You gather the Moonlight on your blade and perform a single forward thrust. All creatures in a 40 feet long, 10 feet wide line must perform a constitution saving throw. On a failure a creature takes a number d8s of radiant damage equal to your Proficiency Bonus. Shapeshifters make the save at disadvantage * **Second Form: Moonwheel** You perform a swiping motion with your weapon around you, performing a single powerful spin. Creatures with 10 feet must succeed on a strength Saving Throw or be pushed back 15 feet and take an amount of d10s equal to your Proficiency Bonus * **Third Form: Eclipse** You banish just like the moon during an eclipse. You can teleport to any point you can see within 120 feet as long as its dimly lit or in darkness, and your next attack deals extra radiant damage equal to your Fighter Level. \columnbreak ### Moonborne At 15th level, your bond to the moon becomes stronger, and you start to show physical signs of your ties to the Moon. - You shed dim light within 20 feet of you, which you reduce to dim light with 5 feet of you. - Your irises become silvery, and dim light no longer imposes disadvantage on your perception checks. You additionally gain proficiency in the perception skill, or if you are already proficient, in the insight or investigation skills. - You can innately cast any of the following spells as a bonus action, using wisdom as your spellcasting modifier, once, without providing material components: - Bless - Bane - Sanctuary ### Moonlit Grove At 18th level, your bond to the moon is such that her presence is always with you. You are permanently under the effects of the heroism spell, without need for concentration. Additionally, as an action, you may expand your moonlight in a 30 feet radius around you. All creatures inside that area are must each round make a dexterity save or be affected by the faerie fire spell. Choose a number of creatures up to your wisdom modifier plus you, those creatures are unaffected by this feature. While inside the Moonlit Grove, you can use your Moon Forms without expending Moonlight. Once you have used your Moonlit Grove, you gain a level of exhaustion and can’t use Moonlit Grove until you finish a long rest.
