Cleric Divine Domain: Forsaken
Through displeasure, death, or neglect, your god has abandoned you. But you cannot return to the life you once led; channelling the power of the divine changes a person, physically and mentally, and now that wellspring of power has been replaced by something dark and hungry. The void within may eventually consume you, but it offers a comforting return to power in exchange.

Mortal Adaptability
1st-level Forsaken feature
You learn to make do without a god’s assistance. Choose one of the following options:
- If you had a previous domain before becoming Forsaken, you may retain any weapons and armour proficiencies granted by that domain.
- You gain two proficiencies of your choice from any martial weapon, artisan’s tool, or skill.
Bonus Cantrip
1st-level Forsaken feature
You gain the chill touch cantrip, which counts as a cleric cantrip for you but does not count against the number of cleric cantrips at your disposal.
Hungry Strength
1st-level Forsaken feature
Your life force can feed the void left by your god. As an action, you may expend a number of your own hit dice, up to a quarter of your cleric level, rounded up; you immediately regain a spell slot of a level equal to the number of dice you expended. Once you have used this feature, you must complete a short or long rest before doing so again.
Channel Divinity: Devour Magic
2nd-level Forsaken feature
You can use your Channel Divinity to snatch magic from the air to feed the emptiness within. When a creature you can see within 60 feet of you casts a spell, you may use your reaction to make a Wisdom ability check; on a roll of 10 + the spell’s level or higher, the spell fails and has no effect, and you regain one expended hit die.
If you roll lower than 10 + the spell’s level, the spell continues as normal and you are instead fuelled by desperation, gaining advantage on the next attack roll you make before the end of your next turn.
Delayed Suffering
6th-level Forsaken feature
You can call upon the void to knit wounds almost as fast as they open, for a price. When you take damage from a weapon attack, you may use your reaction to expend a hit die and roll it, reducing the damage taken by the amount rolled + your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1).
Forsaken Strike
8th-level Forsaken feature
Once per turn when you deal damage to a creature with a weapon attack, you may expend one of your hit dice and roll it; the target takes additional necrotic damage equal to the roll + your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1). At 14th level, you may roll the hit die twice and add both results to the damage (this still only expends one die).
Shield of Desperation
14th-level Forsaken feature
Whenever you expend one or more hit dice using a domain feature, you may also roll the expended dice and gain temporary hit points equal to the total.
