Yuan-ti Devourer

The yuan-ti are an unforgiving race. They see any creature that is neither a threat or a yuan-ti as meat. Any creature, no exceptions. The normal thing meat is used for is hard labor, however an obvious choice is as food. The yuan-ti devourers have undergone a dark and painful ritual to give their bodies the ability to ingest other creatures whole and alive.

Yuan-ti Devourer Traits

Ability Score Improvement: Any two ability scores increases by one.

Size: Yuan-ti devourers match humans in average size and weight. Your size is Medium.

Speed: Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Age: Devourers mature at the same rate as humans and have lifespans similar in length to theirs.

Darkvision: Within 60 feet of you you can see dim light as if it were bright light, and darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Lesser Swallow Whole: Your jaws can unhinge like a snake, your throat and stomach able to accommodate larger prey. As an action, you may attempt to swallow a small-sized or smaller creature whole that is either restrained, prone, incapacitated (unconscious, stunned and paralyzed targets are considered incapacitated), grappled by you, at half hit points or fewer, or doesn’t see you. Make a melee weapon attack against a creature. If the attack hits the creature is swallowed whole and alive. Normal rules on advantage or disadvantage can apply to this melee attack. While swallowed, the target is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside of you, and it takes 10 (4d4) acid damage at the start of each of your turns. You can only have one creature swallowed at a time. If you reduce a creature to 0 hit points in your stomach you immediately heal an amount of hit points equal to your level.

If you take any damage on a single turn from a swallowed creature, you must succeed a Constitution saving throw. The DC for the saving throw is 10 or half the damage taken (whichever is higher). On a failure you must immediately regurgitate the swallowed creature. It exits prone into an unoccupied space of your choice within 5 feet of you. If you drop to 0 hit points, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained and can escape from your corpse by using 5 feet of movement, exiting prone in a space of its choice within 5 feet of you.

Lastly; it takes 8 hours to completely digest a creature. At 3rd level, you can ingest a creature of medium-sized or smaller.

Poison Immunity: You are immune to poison damage and the poisoned condition.

Languages: You can speak, read, and write Common, Abyssal, and Draconic.

Feats

Some additional of feats to aid in your devouring abilities.

Digestive Control

You have fine control over the nature of your stomach acids. You gain the following benefits:

  • You may choose to digest only organic materials, leaving behind any inorganic materials such as weapons, armor, coin, or other loot.
  • Instead of lethal acid damage, you can enable your stomach to deal nonlethal bludgeoning damage to render prey unconscious.
  • You can choose to deal neither acid nor bludgeoning damage to your prey allowing them to survive safely inside of your stomach. You can freely gulp down fresh air for them to breath to avoid suffocation.

Rapid Digestion

The potency of your stomach acids increase to almost dangerous levels. You gain the following benefits:

  • It takes one hour to fully digest a creature.
  • Add your Constituion modifier to any damage dealt with your digestion damage.
  • Your digestion damage ignores resistances, but not immunities.

Alternative Consumption

You undergo a bizarre ritual, in order to utterly humiliate or surprise potential prey. You may ingest a creature without the use of your mouth, you may instead use your butt. It takes one minute for a creature to snake through your intestines and reach your stomach, taking bludgeoning instead of acid damage the whole way. Alternatively, you may choose to deal no damage to a creature traveling through your intestines.

If you are forced to regurgitate a creature traveling through your intestines, they are immediately pushed out completely despite how far they've travelled.

Additionally, when you are forced to regurgitate prey, instead of using your mouth, you may choose to pass them out the other end, sending them through the rest of your digestive tract until they exit through your rear.
