The Timeless (Weeping Angels)

The timeless are a race of stone elementals similar to a gargoyle. While being watched they are quantum locked meaning that their unable to move or attack. They are often seen covering their eyes with their hands to prevent themselves looking at each other.

Known as being psychopathic murderers, they would drain the life energy from their victims and send them backwards in time to the Border Ethereal plane. They find joy in watching their victims confusion and horror being riped from the material plane. Their victims would eventually fade back to the material plane. When the timeless wanted to outright kill their victims they would snap their necks as a show of mercy.

Creatures affected by life drain are sent backwards in time at the current location by 5 minutes to the Border Ethereal plane. They are able to see the material plane in the fog but unable to interact with it. After 10 minutes (5 minutes for the party) in the Border Ethereal plane they spend a turn fading back to the material plane in their current location.

Actions

Aging Touch. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) necrotic damage. The target's hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to 1/2 the necrotic damage taken, and the angel regains hit points equal to that amount. The reduction lasts until the target finishes a long rest. The target dies if this effect reduces its hit point maximum to 0.

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) piercing damage.

Unblinking Concentration

Players can look directly at one timeless at a time to keep it quantum locked as stone. A player must roll perception checks each turn to maintain unblinking concentration on a timeless to keep it quantum locked as stone. Each turn successful at unblinking concentration the player gains a -2 for their next perception checks to maintain. Perception DC: 10 to maintain unblinking concentration.

Perception DC: 10
