Tosti Domain

The gods of all things cheesy and tosti, of whom Tostirion is the most widely known, Cheese and tosti are the best aspects in life. They bestow blessings upon those who take it upon themselves to grill the tosti's to utter perfection, and who strive to perfect the art of tosti-making. Due to the nature of tosti's, the deities do not know the best way to create a tosti, as there are thousands of ways to improve oneselves' tosti's. Thus, they are always inclined to learn from their most faithful of worshippers.

Bonus Proficiency

When you pick this domain, you gain proficiency with cooking supplies. If you already have this proficiency, you can pick any other artisan's tool to be proficient with.

Sweet Dreams are made of Cheese

At 1st level, you can fill another creature's dreams with the warmth of Tosti, revitalizing their soul in the proccess. Whenever you or a friendly creature within 15 feet of you spends one or more Hit Die to regain hit points at the end of the short rest, they roll double the amount of dice instead. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1), and regain any expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Channel Divinity: Sticky Cheddar

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your channel divinity to tap into a near-infinite well of cheese. As an action, you may open this well up when facing your enemies, which creates a 10 foot wide, 10 feet high, 20 feet long line of molten sticky cheddar in front of you; lasting a number of turns equal to your wisdom modifier. When the line appears, each creature within this area must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature is fully coated with cheese on a failed save, becoming grappled by the line for as long as it remains. If a creature is attacked while grappled in this way, it can attempt a Strength (Athletics) check against your spell save DC, breaking free on a success. Whenever you gain a level in this class, the width of this line increases by 5 feet.

Channel Divinity: Chili Cheddar

Beginning at 6th level, the cheese will be infused with a mixture of chili and ginger. When using the Sticky Cheddar feature, you can choose to expend two uses of your Channel Divinity, instead of one. If you do so, creatures caught in the area of your line of cheese also take 6d6 Fire Damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. In addition, any creature that starts its turn grappled by the line takes 2d6 Fire damage. Taking this damage does grant the creature a check to break free.

Smelting Strike

At 8th level, you gain the ability to infuse your sword with molten cheese and ham. Once on each of your turns you can cause the attack to deal an extra 2d4 Fire Damage to a target. When you reach 14th level, this damage increases to 4d4.

Master of the Tosti

At 17th level, you gain the ability to summon your holy mount and spellcasting focus, the Josti Tosti. You can use this feature once per long rest. The Jost Tosti lasts until it is destroyed, or when you finish a long rest.

  • Spellcasting focus: Once per turn, you can cast a spell through your Josti Tosti, you can cast spells using 1 spell slot lower. For example, when casting Burning Tosti, you dont have to expend a spell slot, as this is a first level spell. When casting Tosti Tower, you cast it using a second level spell slot instead of a third level. This feature has 10 charges. You regain 1d12 expended charges daily at dawn.
  • Mount: Your Josti Tosti can be used as a mount, having space for two medium creatures, It has a flying speed of 25 feet, and a water speed of 50 feet.

Burning Tosti

1st level conjuration


  • Casting Time: 1 action
  • Range: self (10 by 10 foot)
  • Components: V, S
  • Duration: Instantaneous

You summon a 10 by 10 foot red-hot sandwich iron above yourself, with a hole in the middle. All creatures within the area (except for you) must make a Dexterity savind throw. They take 4d4 Fire damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.

Tosti Disguise

1st level illusion


  • Casting Time: 1 action
  • Range: Touch
  • Components: V, S, M (a slice of cheese)
  • Duration: 1 hour

This spell creates an illusion of a tosti where a creature should be. This effect only works if this creature is standing still, otherwise the tosti illusion would lag behind a few seconds. The tosti illusion acts as an inconspicuous disguise, and would not arouse suspicion unless there was any reason for suspicion.

Healing Tosti

2nd level transmutation


  • Casting Time: 1 action
  • Range: Touch
  • Components: V, M (A tosti)
  • Duration: Instantaneous

Up to two tosti's in your hand can be infused with healing powers. Consuming the tosti takes an action. When consumed, a Healing Tosti restores 2d4+1 hitpoints the the consumer, and provides enough nourishment to sustain a creature for two days. The healing powers fade from the tosti's if they haven't been consumed withing 24 hours of the casting of this spell.

Tostiskin

2nd level abjuration


  • Casting Time: 1 action
  • Range: Touch
  • Components: S, M (Fancy cheese worth at least 10 GP)
  • Duration: Concentration, up to 30 minutes

This spell turns the skin of a willing creature into a tosti-like substance, looking crusty. Until the spell ends, Whenever an enemy misses an attack, they are grappled by cheese, and take 1d8 Fire damage. At the end of your next turn, the enemy can make a strenth (Athletics) check. The enemy can repeat this check every turn after this one.

Conjure Tosti

3rd level conjuration


  • Casting Time: Casting Time
  • Range: 5 feet
  • Components: V, S
  • Duration: Concentration, up to 1 hour.

This spell conjures up one tosti minion, of which you can only ever have one of at the same time. The summoned creature is friendly to you and your companions. Roll initiative for the summoned creature, which has its own turns. It obeys any verbal commands that you issue to them (no action required by you). The creature disappears when it drops to 0 hitpoints, or when the spell ends. If you don’t issue any commands to them, they defend themselves from hostile creatures, but otherwise take no actions.

  • Upcasting: The abberation's stats increase per spell level. See the statblock for the numbers.

Actions

Multiattack. The Tosti Minion makes two Mozarella strike attacks per turn

Mozarella Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 + 1 for each spell level above 4th to hit, 5ft, one target. Hit: 2d4+1 +1 for each level of the spell Damage piercing damage

Protect. This abberation can decide to protect a creature, transferring up to 3d6 damage per hit taken to the abberation.

Tosti Tower

3rd level conjuration


  • Casting Time: 1 turn
  • Range: 20 feet
  • Components: V, S, M (Canned Cheese)
  • Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

You conjure a small tower made of bread from the outside, and cheese on the inside. Once every turn, the tower shoots out 3 tosti's at creatures within a 50-foot circle. You can choose up to 5 creatures to be ignored by the tower. The targeted creature must make a dexterity saving throw (DC 15) The target take 1d6+2 piercing damage, or half as much on a successful save.

Tosti Shield

4th level abjuration


  • Casting Time: 1 action
  • Range: Touch
  • Components: V, S, M (a bag of bread)
  • Duration: Instantaneous

A flying tosti shield is summoned in front of you, imposing a disadvantage on a single enemy targeting you. Additionally, when you get hit, you can expend a charge of the shield, and reduce the incoming damage by 2d8+2. The shield has 4 charges, and when all of its charges are expended, the shield breaks apart into lumps of bread and cheese. You can only have one Tosti Shield active at a time.

Wall of Cheese

4th level abjuration


  • Casting Time: 1 action
  • Range: 100 feet
  • Components: V, S, M (A large chunk of Brie)
  • Duration: Concentration, up to 15 minutes

A wall of molten cheese (1 foot thick, up to 60 feet long, 20 feet high) springs into existence in a space of your choice. This wall only allows passage for creatures chosen by you. You can choose an amount of creatures up to your wisdom score (minimum of 10). They can instantly pass through the wall, and are unharmed by its effects. For others, the wall reeks of cheese, and if they move into the wall, or end their turn within 10 feet of it, they must make a constitution saving throw. On a failed save they take 4d8 psychic damage, or half as much on a successful one. If there are creatures in the area of the wall when this spell is cast, they must make a dexterity saving throw, and on a failed save they take 2d12 force damage, and are pushed out of the area. THey take no damage on a successful one.

Delicious Confusion

5th level evocation


  • Casting Time: 1 turn
  • Range: 100 feet
  • Components: V, S, M (A big chunk of Blue-Veined Cheese)
  • Duration: Concentration, up to 5 turns

After you cast this spell, a circle of 50 foot is diameter appears, which is decorated with symbols of cheese on the edge of the circle. Any creatures within this area must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, they take 8d4 psychic damage, and their wisdom stat is reduced by 5. When their wisdom stat is reduced to 1, they fall unconscious. On a successful save, it take half damage.the creature stays unconscious for 8 hours, and the Wisdom statistic is returned to normal after 6 hours.
