Order Of The Taker
To those who only know necromancy as the school that reanimates the dead, for good or worse, would never suspect one ancient knowledge, long forgotten through time. Knowledge that gives their users abilities to manipulate someone's soul and magic, taking parts of it for themselves.
A group of Blood Hunters discovered such knowledge, leading to their downfall. Corrupted by the immense power they had just found, their lust for power grew, and a hunger for the consumption of souls to become more powerful than the Gods emerged.
Order Of The Taker Features
| Blood Hunter Level | Feature |
|---|---|
| 3rd | Lust For Power, Rite Of The Weaver |
| 7th | Empowered Leech |
| 11th | Brand Of Consuming |
| 15th | Blood Curse Of The Scrounger |
| 18th | Symbol Of Fear |
Lust For Power
"They laughed when I told them about my discovery. You can't feel the presence of power, they said. And even if what you're saying is real, it's impossible to know anyone's abilities by simply staring at them, they said... Look who's laughing now."
Starting at 3rd level, whenever you roll initiative or as a bonus action, you learn the following characteristics of one creature you can see:
-
Every possible damage type caused by their Attack Action (Eg: Bludgeoning or Slashing due to the Predatory Strikes feature, Lightning due to the Lightning Lance action from an Armanite, Piercing due to a Dagger attack, and so on).
-
Resistances & Immunities.
At 15th level you also learn the following when using this feature:
- Strength Score.
- Dexterity Score.
- Constitution Score.
- Intelligence Score.
- Wisdom Score.
- Charisma Score.
Rite Of The Weaver
"And now the hunter becomes the hunted. Tell me. What it feels like to be killed by your own abilities?"
Moreover, at 3rd level, you learn the Rite of the Weaver as part of your Crimson Rite feature. When you activate the Rite of the Weaver, the extra damage dealt by your rite is based on a possible damage type of a creature you can see, knowing such information by using the Lust For Power feature or you have already seen the targeted creature do any type of damage. That creature becomes your targeted creature, and is still considered one even after it has died.
Additionally, while that rite is active on your weapon, you gain the following benefits:
-
You ignore resistances against your Rite damage type.
-
You gain a bonus to damage rolls against your targeted creature. The bonus equals your proficiency bonus and is the same type as your Rite.
-
You can switch your targeted creature as a reaction to seeing a creature deal damage (even if it is a spell) or as a bonus action, if you have the knowledge of the creature's possible damage types, making it your new targeted creature. Changing targeted creatures while this feature was already in use changes your Rite Of The Weaver damage type.

Empowered Leech
"You're quite pale... What happened? Never felt the real sensation of fire, Tiefling?"
Upon reaching 7th level, once per turn, whenever you hit a creature while your Rite Of The Weaver is active, you can force that creature to make a Constitution Saving Thrown against your Hemocraft save DC.
On a failed save, the creature loses one resistance, of your choice if you know what type they have or the DM determine one randomly if you don't, and you gain their lost resistance. You lose these gained resistances and the creature recover them whenever your Rite Of The Weaver ends.
Also, if they have any immunities, they are considered resistances for you upon dealing damage while your Rite Of The Weaver active.
Brand Of Consuming
"What? Feeling your powers abandon you? Sensing your own mortality? Do not worry, they are mine now. I'll take good care of them."
When you reach 11th level, a creature affected by your Brand of Castigation feature has it's traits revealed to you. You steal a single trait for yourself, and the branded creature loses it until they are not affected anymore by your Brand of Castigation feature, making you lose the stolen trait and the creature regain it when it happens.
You can't steal trait's that would bring you back from the dead; that would give you Legendary Resistances or Mythic Actions, such as a Gold Greatwyrm's Metallic Awakening trait; that requires specific items, such as Orcus' Wand Of Orcus trait or a Lich's Rejuvenation trait; or any type of Spellcasting.
Blood Curse Of The Scrounger
"You look scared, Barbarian. You're face says it all. Your strength: Gone. Vanished in a blink of an eye. And it is all mine."
At 15th level, you gain the Blood Curse of the Scrounger for your Blood Maledict feature. This doesn’t count against your number of blood curses known.
Symbol Of Fear
"I will obliterate everything you protected."
Finally, at 18th level, whenever you use your Empowered Leech feature, you can now attempt to steal immunities from creatures.
On top of that, you can use Brand of Castigation feature a number of times equal to your Hemocraft modifier (minimum of +1). This also increases the number of creatures affected by this feature by the same amount.
Blood Curse Of The Scrounger
As a bonus action, you curse a creature that you can see within 30 feet of you, stealing their abilities until the end of your next turn. For the duration, you steal an ability score from a creature you know such stats. An ability score stolen becomes an 10 (+0), if originally higher.
Amplify. This curse lasts for 1 minute. The cursed creature can make a Constitution saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the curse on itself on a success.
