College of Dance
The bards College of Dance focus on the intense physical aspects of the arts and of the inspiring, infectious desire to move one's body to the beat. Through acrobatic feats and fanciful footwork, these dancers always draw a crowd as they appeal to the inherent joy of movement and the wonder of physical discipline. As such, they can be found in all walks of life: be it prancing on the silver stage for the nobles at court, or the humble travelling circus that engages the masses.
Bonus Proficiencies
3rd-level College of Dance feature
You gain proficiency in Acrobatics or Performance. If you are already proficiency in one of those skills, you can choose another skill top gain proficiency in.
Rhythm Master
Through your bardic training, you can alter the inner metronome of others with your steps and flourishes: inspiring feats of sudden speed or bouts of melodic lethargy.
Ally Allegro. You inspire your allies into performing quick agile steps.
Creatures that have a Bardic Inspiration granted by you gain an additional 10 feet of movement as long as they have that Bardic Inspiration die and can expend that Bardic Inspiration to increase their movement speed further. Until the start of their next turn, their movement speed gains a number of additional feet of movement equal to five times the result on the Bardic Inspiration die, and they do not provoke attacks of oppotunity.
Foe Largo. You slow down the tempo of a foe, reducing them to a crawling pace.
By expending a Bardic Inspiration when you cast a spell on a creature, you can also reduce that creature's movement speed by an amount equal to equal to five times the result on the Bardic Inspiration die. This movement penalty lasts until the end of their next turn.
Battle Dancer
3rd-level College of Dance feature
Whilst not are not wearing heavy armor or a shield, your walking speed is increased by 10 feet and you can stand up from prone by only expending 5 feet of movement.
Additionally, you can take the Dodge action as a bonus action on your turn. When you take the Dodge action, you gain the following benefits until the start of your next turn:
- The bonus to your AC gained from Dodging is equal to your Charisma Modifier instead.
- Your jumping distances are doubled.
- You have a bonus equal to your Charisma modifier to escape effects that would have you grappled, restrained or would otherwise reduce your movement.


Beguiling Footwork
6th-level College of Dance feature
For you the dance never ends. As long as your speed
is not 0, you gain the following benefits:
- You have advantage on saves and checks you make to maintain concentration.
- If you cast a spell that inflicts the charmed condition, such as charm person, targets do not have advantage if you are already fighting them.
Set Tempo
6th-level College of Dance feature
You are the universal metronome when it the beat has dropped; the fight doesn't start unless you say it does. When initiative is rolled, you may expend a Bardic Inspiration and add or subtract it's result from any creature you can see within that initiative. This must be done after initiative is rolled but before the first turn.
Master Choreographer
14th-level College of Dance feature
You learn the spell otto's irresistible dance and it does not count towards the number of bard spells you know, and creatures that cannot be charmed are no longer immune to it.
Motion Sickness
14th-level College of Dance feature
Your powers of motion make for a dizzying performance in its onlookers. When you move within 5 feet of a creature whilst benefitting from the Dodge action, you can immediately inflict psychic damage equal to your Charisma modifier on that creature.
Moreover, if an ally expended their Bardic Inspiration to increase their increased movement speed, they also inflict psychic damage equal to your Charisma modifier on creatures of their choice that they move within 5 feet until the start of their next turn.
