. \columnbreak ## Druid Circle ## Circle of Sundew ### *an alluring aroma to be sure but even the sweetest rose can lead to certain death*
~ From the dual blade chronicles, chapter 80
Druids of the Circle of Sundew can be found wherever plant life struggles to flourish. Working hard to support these flora, they turn to the techniques of animals to supplement what the soil cannot provide: predation of insects and small creatures, though of the slow, patient kind. Often seen as deceptive, seductive, and dangerous, these druids are similarly said to lead travellers astray, never to be heard from again...survival after all, comes at many costs. #### Circle Spells The Circle of Snow grants access to an expanded spell list, which are always prepared for you, and do not count towards the maximum number of prepared spells you can have at any given time. | Druid level | Spell | |:------------:|:------------------------------------| | 3th | *earthrn grasp**, *enthrall* | | 5th | *nondetection, plant growth* | | 7th | *compulsion, grasping vines* | | 9th | *awaken, planar binding* | *appears as a venus flytrap. #### Mask of the Benign At 2nd level, you gain proficiency with either the Deception or Stealth skill. The carnivorous plant form uses the *awakened tree* statblock, gains additional hitpoints equal to twice your druid level plus your Wisdom modifier, and its movement speed is 0. You can also cast spells granted by your Circle Spells feature and druid cantrips while in this form.
Additionally, when you take this form you choose either the Slip or Snare forms from below;
**Slip**. Your size becomes huge, if a creature comes within 5ft. of you or enters your space they must make a Dexterity saving throw. The creature takes this damage again at the start of each of their turns and can attempt this saving throw again at the end of their turn.
**Snare**. You can grapple as a bonus action and grapple a number of creatures equal to your wisdom modifier. When a creature comes within 10 feet of you you can, as a reaction attempt to grapple that creature and creatures grappled by you take 1d6 acid damage at the start of each of their turns. \pagebreak
#### Creeping Roots At 6th level, you have advantage on saving throws against poison, and you have resistance against poison damage.
Additionally, your transformation causes surrounding plant life to follow in your footsteps, reaching out to hinder nearby creatures. When you change into your Carnivorous Form, the area around you in a 15-foot radius becomes thick with grasping plants, with the same effects as if you cast the *entangle* spell. #### Bone Melting At 10th level, the potency of the acid you produce is nightmarish. Any acid damage you deal with a druid feature is doubled. Additionally, any creature you reduce to 0 hit points with acid damage the creatures melts away to nothing. #### Instinctive Allure At 14th level, whenever a creature deals damage to you, you can use your reaction to have them make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failure, the creature is charmed for 1 minute, or until they use their action to succeed on another Wisdom saving throw.
Additionally, the radius of your feature grows to 30 feet.
