Path of the Chieftain

Whilst most barbarians choose a selfish path in a quest for power, those that follow the Path of the Chieftain know that there is greater strength in numbers.

Serving as terrifying leaders of raiding parties or warchiefs at the head of the horde, these barbarians surround themselves in fellow warriors for glorious battle to inspire their allies and bring fear to their enemies, laying waste to all who stand in the way of their stampede.

Fearless Leader

3rd level Path of the Warchief feature
You are in possession of an overwhelming presence, a physical fortitude and determination that all are able to sense. As a result, whenever you make a Charisma check, you gain a bonus to the check equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of +1).

In addition, you gain proficiency Insight and in one of the following skills of your choice: Deception, Intimidation, Performance, or Persuasion.

Commanding Aura

3rd level Path of the Warchief feature
Whilst you are raging you emit a 10-foot aura of command, always welcome at the head of battle. Allies within this aura share a measure of your fury in your presence: they have a bonus to Strength checks and Strength saving throws equal to your Rage damage bonus, and the first damage roll they make each turn whilst in the aura inflicts additional damage equal to half your barbarian level.

Strength of the Tribe

6th level Path of the Warchief feature
The presence of your allies inspires you to do better. When you miss with an attack roll, or fail an ability check or saving throw, and you have at least one ally within 10 feet of you, you can choose to gain a bonus to the roll equal to the number of allies within 10 feet of you (to a maximum of +10). You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus before requiring a long rest to do it again.

When you roll a critical hit, you regain a single use of this feature if you have less than your maximum number of uses.

At 14th level, the range of this ability increases to 30 feet.



Herald of Violence

10th level Path of the Warchief feature
You are always at the head of the snake, leading the charge through vicious example. You gain a bonus to your initiative rolls equal to your Strength modifier and when you first enter your rage, any ally within your Commanding Aura can use their reaction to instantly move up to half their speed without triggering oppotunity attacks.

Relentless Horde

14th level Path of the Warchief feature
Your allies are bolstered by your presence, shrugging off even mighty blows. The range of your Commanding Aura increases to 30-feet and allies within in also gain resistance to bludgeoning, slashing and piercing damage.
