The Three Great Knights

The Three Great Knights,or more commonly referred to as 'The Three,' are god-blessed knights of near unlimited power who seek to stop those of great power and great evil. This three-soldier crusade against evil is made up of The Undying, The Battle Master, and The Arcane.

The Undying

The Undying is the least immediately remarkable of The Three, with no apparent abilities, and comparatively dull black armor. However, once the Undying is slain, it will immediately resurrect a short distance away, with any combination of weapons it chooses. This means that no matter how many times it is defeated, The Undying always has new weapons and tactics ready at a moment's notice

The Battle Master

The Battle Master is an extremely imposing figure, with spiked armor and a menacing sword. The Battle Master's blessing becomes immediately clear once it engages in combat, as it is the best wielder of any type of weapon in all of the planes. Its mastery of all weapons is so strong, that it is rumored to be able to kill a Tarrasque with a small stick.

The Arcane

The Arcane is the most visually impressive of The Three, with glowing armor covered in runes. However, its blessing is even more impressive. The Arcane can cast any spell it wishes, and it has seemingly unlimited spell slots. However there is an oddity in its blessing, in that there is one spell it can't cast: Wish. The Arcane will never admit to this flaw or reveal how it happened, though there are some theories...

The Tormentor

The Tormentor can only be summoned when The Three are inable to defeat an enemy that they face. (Quite a feat for said enemy) In this worst case scenario, The Three engage in a ritual that combines their souls into an empty suit of armor (cover image) summoned by the ritual. Once this ritual is complete, The Three's bodies halfway fade out of existence, making them unable to be harmed or moved. The suit of armor inhabitied by the souls is The Tormentor. The Tormentor has enhanced versions of The Three's blessings.

The Undying's Blessing. Instead of coming back from death, The Tormentor is physically unable to die.

The Battle Master's Blessing. The Tormentor can now summon any weapon/item it wishes, and the Battle Master's original blessing still applies

The Arcane's Blessing. The Tormentor has the original form of the Arcane's Blessing, but it can create new spells

Notes:
  1. The Tormentor is intentionally too powerful. Players are not supposed to be able to defeat it, it is a tool for stopping evil actions. This also goes for The Three
  2. There are no statblocks for The Knights because I don't know how to put that kind of power in a statblock, and so I'm leaving it to the DM to determine exactly how powerful the Knights are. (I may add statblocks in the future)
