Monastic Tradition: Way of the Virtuous Sage

Monks who embrace the path of the Virtuous Sage commit themselves to the pursuit of compassion, inspiration, and healing. They view their bodies as sacred vessels, honing their physical prowess through rigorous training and competition. Every movement they make is a testament to their devotion, their dedication to harmonizing mind, body, and spirit.

Health and wellness

Upon embracing the Way of the Virtuous Sage at 3rd level, these monks gain proficiency in the Medicine and Persuasion skills. If they are already proficient in these skills, their expertise in them deepens, granting them even greater mastery. This proficiency enables them to tap into their compassionate nature and utilize their understanding of the human body to provide aid, comfort, and healing to those in need. Furthermore, they leverage their physicality and inner charisma to effectively communicate, persuade, and inspire others.

Healing Hands

Starting at 3rd level, you gain a pool of healing energy that you can use to restore vitality to yourself and others. With this feature, you have a healing pool equal to three times your monk level. As an action, you can touch a creature and spend hit points from your pool to heal them. The total number of hit points you can spend in a single action can't exceed your monk level. The target regains a number of hit points equal to the hit points spent.

You regain all expended hit points to your pool when you finish a long rest.

Inspiring Words

At 3rd level, you learn to use your inspiring words to uplift and bolster your allies. As a bonus action, you can choose one creature within 30 feet of you and expend 1 ki point. The chosen creature gains temporary hit points equal to your martial arts die + your Wisdom modifier.

The temporary hit points last until they are lost or 8 hours whichever comes quicker

Sacred Defense

At 6th level, your dedication to protecting others fuels your resilience. When you use your Step of the Wind feature, you can choose to extend its benefits to one creature you touch, granting them the ability to disengage or dash as a bonus action until the end of their turn.

Empowering Presence

Beginning at 11th level, your mere presence exudes an empowering aura that strengthens your allies. Whenever you use your Flurry of Blows feature, you can choose one creature within 10 feet of you to gain advantage on their next attack roll before the end of their next turn.

Transcendent Harmony

At 17th level, you have achieved a state of transcendence and can harmonize your ki with the life force of your allies. As an action, you can spend 4 ki points to restore hit points to all friendly creatures of your choice within 30 feet of you, including yourself. Each target regains a number of hit points equal to your monk level + your Wisdom modifier. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
