Mutagen Warrior
Tool Proficiency
When you adopt this fighter subclass at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with alchemist's supplies. If you already have this proficiency, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan's tools of your choice.
Mutagencraft
At 3rd level, you learn to master forbidden alchemical formulas—known as mutagens—that can temporarily alter your physical abilities.
You gain the ability to create mutagens and you can consume one as a bonus action. For a number of hours equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of 1), your Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution score increases by 2, as does your maximum for that score. In addition, while the mutagen is in effect, one of your ability scores decreases by 1. If the mutagen increases your Strength, it applies a penalty to your Charisma. If it increases your Dexterity, it applies a penalty to your Wisdom. If it increases your Constitution, it applies a penalty to your Intelligence.
You can have two mutagens at once and if you consume a mutagen while already under the effects of one, the newer one replaces the old one. You can create one mutagen when you finish a short rest and two mutagens when you finish a Long Rest.
Mutagens are designed for the specific biology of the character who concocted them, and any creature other than you that consumes the mutagen must succeed on a Constitution saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier) or be poisoned for 1 hour. They are also unstable by nature, losing their potency over time and becoming inert if not used before you finish your next long rest.
Mutagen Discovery
Additionally at 3rd level, you have made an alchemical discovery that enhance your mutagens. Choose two discoveries to learn from the options detailed at the end of this subclass description. Whenever you create a mutagen you can enhance it with a discovery. The number of discoveries you can prepare and know, increases as you gain levels in the fighter class, as shown on the Mutagencraft table below. Additionally, when you learn a new discovery, you can replace one discovery you already know with a new discovery.

Flexible Metabolism
When you reach 6th level, your body begins to adapt to toxins and venoms, ignoring their corrupting effects. You gain immunity to poison damage and the poisoned condition.
Greater Mutagen
At 10th level, the potency of your mutagens increases. The ability score increases to 3, as does your maximum for that score.
Grand Mutagen
Starting at 14th level, you have mastered the creation of your mutagens. The ability score increases to 4, as does your maximum for that score.
Discoveries
Axolotl
Prerequisite: 10th level
Your mutagen now causes you to regain a number of hit points equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of 1) every 10 minutes. If you lose a body part, the mutagen causes the missing part to regrow and return to full functionality after 5 days of being under the effects of the discovery.
Badger
Prerequisite: 6th level
Your mutagen now causes any Bludgeoning, Piercing, or Slashing Damage dealt to you to be reduced by an amount equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum 0).
Beast
Your mutagen now grants you one of the following options:
Bite. Your mouth transforms into a bestial muzzle or great mandibles (your choice). It deals 1d8 piercing damage on a hit.
Claws. Each of your hands transforms into a claw, which you can use as a weapon if it's empty. It deals 1d6 slashing damage on a hit.
Tail. You grow a lashing, spiny tail, which deals 1d8 piercing damage on a hit and has the reach property.
At 6th level, you gain a climb speed equal to your walking speed as well.
Bird
Prerequisite: 6th level
Your mutagen now grants you a flying speed equal to half your walking speed.
At 10th level, the flying speed increases to your walking speed.
Cat
Your mutagen now grants you darkvision out to a range of 60 feet. If you already have darkvision, its range increases by 60 feet.
Chameleon
Prerequisite: 14th level
Your mutagen now causes any creature has disadvantage on attack rolls against you. If you take damage, the property ceases to function until the start of your next turn. This property is suppressed while you are incapacitated, restrained, or otherwise unable to move. An attacker is immune to this effect if it doesn't rely on sight, as with blindsight, or can see through illusions, as with truesight.
Cheetah
Your mutagen now increases your walking speed by 10 feet.
Cocktail
Prerequisite: 10th level
Your mutagen now increases another score of your choice by 2 and decreases its corresponding ability score by 1. This discovery does not benefit from Greater Mutagen or Grand Mutagen. This discovery does benefit Cognatogen.
Cognatogen
When you finish a short rest you can create a cognatogen in addition to your mutagen. It functions like your mutagen except you choose Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma instead and the ability score penalty is reversed accordingly. This discovery benefits from Greater Mutagen and Grand Mutagen.
Elemental
Your mutagen now grants you resistance to acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder damage (your choice).
At 6th level, your weapon attacks deal additional damage of the chosen type equal to half your Intelligence modifier (minimum of 1) as well.
Ooze
Prerequisite: 6th level
Your mutagen now grants you immunity to the grappled and restrained conditions.
At 10th level, you gain immunity to the paralyzed condition as well.
Whale
Your mutagen now allows you to breathe underwater and gain a swimming speed equal to your walking speed.
Wolverine
Your mutagen now causes your Armor Class to equal 10 + your Strength or Dexterity modifier + your Constitution or Intelligence modifier. You can use a shield and still gain this benefit.
At 6th level, your Armor Class increases by 1 as well.
