Paramecia Devil Fruit: Bumu Bumu no mi (Fireworks Fruit)

Paramecia Devil Fruit (Consumable)

This strange-looking fruit is about the size of a durian, the outer edges of the fruit appear to be a bright, vibrant red, while the inner center of the fruit looks like a light yellow color, all of the middling parts of the fruit are a stark orange.

The Boom Boom Fruit allows the user to summon forth the powers of pyrotechnics and explosives in a vibrant and fun way. It is said that the one with this fruit may bring happiness and wonder wherever they go, or will bring destruction and carnage in style.

As an action on your turn, you can take a bite out of this devil fruit. Doing so permanently grants you access to the effects listed under the fruit's Dormant Powers, as well as the fruit's curse. This effect cannot be reversed or removed in any way.

Devil Fruit Ability. When you consume the devil fruit, you choose one ability score from Intelligence, Wisdom or Charisma to be your devil fruit ability. If an effect of this fruit allows you to make a spell attack or forces a creature to make a saving throw, use the following formulas to determine your attack modifier and save DC:

Fruit Attack Modifier = Your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence, Wisdom or Charisma modifier

Fruit Save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence, Wisdom or Charisma modifier

Dormant Powers

These powers are automatically gained when you consume the devil fruit. The devil fruit has 7 charges and regains all charges at dawn.

Spells. You can expend charges to use the following spells, using your devil fruit ability as your creative ability for them and requiring no material components: Burning Hands (1 charge), Create Bonfire (At Will), Fire Bolt (At Will), Pyrotechnics (1 charge), Scorching Ray (2 charges), Skywrite (1 charge).

When you use Create Bonfire with your devil fruit ability, it can detonate on your whim. When the bonfire is created with the Create Bonfire spell, you may immediately use the Pyrotechnics spell as a bonus action instead of an action.

Pyrotechnician. Your body has grown to become heat-resistant. You have resistance to fire damage and can tolerate temperatures as high as 200 degrees without additional protection.

Curse

When you eat a devil fruit, you permanently gain the following negative effects:

  • You permanently lose any swimming speed you have, and cannot benefit from any spell or effect that would grant you a swimming speed.
  • If you're partially submerged in running water or come into contact with sea-prism stone, you suffer disadvantage on all attack rolls and ability checks until contact is broken, and for the duration your speed is halved. Additionally, you must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or become incapacitated for the duration. You can repeat this saving throw at most once every hour, ending the incapacitated effect on a successful save.
  • If completely submerged in water, you become paralyzed until removed from the water, in addition to suffering all the penalties for partial submersion.
