## Ranger Conclave ### {subclass-name} The Stormrider Conclave is for wanderers, rangers who travel when and where the wind takes them. They gain a special communion with the stormy skies, able to summon lightning to aid their attacks and leap across the battlefield on electric bolts. They can call upon mighty gales, and fight with a literal wind at their back. Stormriders can come from any walk of life, though as with many rangers, are perhaps less often found among the nobility. #### {subclass-name} Spells Starting at 3rd level, you learn an additional spell when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the table below. #### Windblown Wanderer When you join the {subclass-name} conclave at 3rd level, you gain a knack for understanding the weather and traveling as it takes you. You gain the following benefits: * You gain proficiency in Survival, or another ranger skill of your choice if you're already proficient. * When you attempt a Wisdom (Survival) check to gauge the weather, you can treat a d20 roll of 9 or lower as a 10. * When engaging in overland travel, you don't suffer any ill effects from traveling at a fast pace. \pagebreakNum #### Storm's Strike Also at 3rd level, you can call upon the storm to charge your attacks with its power. Once per turn when you hit an enemy with a weapon attack, you may deal 1d4 additional lightning damage and gain a charge of Storm's Strike. You can hold a number of charges up to your proficiency bonus, and all your charges fade if you haven't gained any in 1 minute. As a bonus action, you can unleash your Storm's Strike to hurl a lightning bolt at an enemy. Make a ranged spell attack against one creature you can see within 60 feet. On a hit, the target takes 1d4 lightning damage per charge expended. When you reach 11th level in this class, your Storm's Strike dice become d6's. #### Protective Tempest At 7th level, you can summon the storm to defend you from your foes. As a reaction when you are hit with an attack, you can call up a furious blast of wind around yourself. You gain resistance to nonmagical damage from the triggering attack, and can immediately fly up to your speed without triggering opportunity attacks. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier, regaining all uses after a long rest. #### Storm's Fury At 11th level, anytime you hold any charges of Storm's Strike, your movement speed is increased by 5 feet per charge. Additionally, whenever you roll initiative, you begin combat holding a number of charges equal to your Wisdom modifier. #### Ride the Lightning At 15th level, you can become one with the storm, able to travel along the same lightning bolts you summon. After you use your Storm's Strike to hurl a lightning bolt, or make a spell attack roll with any of your conclave spells, you can teleport to a space within 5 feet of the target. You can teleport in this way once, regaining the ability after a short rest.
