## Wood Carver's Tools - Making Arrows The Wood Carver's Tools may be used to craft arrows out of materials that may be purchased or foraged. The components may be bought for half the cost of complete arrows. The procedure used for foraging for arrow components is similar to foraging for food. The materials being searched for include wood, bone, feathers and stones such as flint and shards of metal . ##### Foraging DCs
| Material Availability | DC | |:-----------------|:--| | Abundant wood, bone, flint stones, metal shards, feathers | 10 | | Limited sources of one or more materials | 15 | | Very few sources | 20 | Use a Wisdom (Wood Carver’s Tools) ability check to determine the success of foraging. Roll 2d6 for the number of arrows worth of material found. A Wood Carver’s Tools set is required to make the arrows. For each hour of work make a Dexterity (Wood Carver’s Tools) skill check. For normal arrows the DC is 10. You produce 4 arrows on a success. Wood carving is not very physical and can be done while resting. Resting is however taken up by other activities such as sleeping, meditating, exercising, eating, chatting, etc., so for one rest period, short or long, a success will produce 2 arrows. The reason the same amount is produced in both a short rest and a long rest is because most of a long rest is taken up by sleeping. Note that this does not apply to elves as they are in a trance for their long rest period of four hours, they are not able to do wood carving at all during that period of the trance. \columnbreak
