Path of the Skald
\pagebreak ### Path of the Skald Warrior poets, lore keepers, minstrels. Skalds use their gift with words to inspire their allies with their battle hymns. They lead the charge into the fray of battle while they captivate the hearts of others with their songs and tales. They preserve the various sagas of legendary figures and tell their tales. They grow their own story with every battle. #### Storyteller *3rd level Path of the Skald feature* You carry with you the sagas of many who have come before you. You're proficient in one instrument of your choice and the performance skill. You also become proficient in your choice of one of the following skills: Arcana, History, Nature, or Religion. #### Battle Hymn *3rd level Path of the Skald feature* You bellow out a battle hymn to inspire allies around you into combat. When you enter your rage you let out an inspiring raged filled song. Creatures of your choice within 10 feet of you who can see or hear you during your rage can add a bonus to an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw it makes equal to your rage bonus. A creature can add this bonus no more than once per turn. Additionally you may select one of the following songs to fuel your hymn: ###### **Song of Alacrity.** You and creatures of your choice that start their turn within your battle hymn can use their bonus action to take the dash action. ###### **Song of Defense.** You and creatures of your choice within your battle hymn gain a bonus to their AC equal to half your rage bonus until your rage ends. You can choose a different song every time you enter a rage. #### Saga of Battles *6th level Path of the Skald feature* When you enter your rage you recall the tale of a brave spirit of battle that fuels your blows with the fervor of their story. Your weapon attacks deal an extra 1d6 damage of the same type as your weapon. In addition, you learn one another song to fuel your hymns: **Song of Recklessness.** Creatures of your choice other than you within your battle hymn can choose to make their weapon attack rolls with advantage, but attack rolls against them have advantage until their next turn. #### Keeper of Legends *10th level Path of the Skald feature* You learn the tongues and legend lore spells and can cast them each once per long rest. Moreover, when you cast the legend lore spell what you name does not need to be of legendary importance, however, if there isn't significant lore about the named subject you gain no information. #### Warrior Poet *14th level Path of the Skald feature* The range of your battle hymn increases to 30 feet. Additionally, during your battle hymn creatures other than you gain the benefits of your rage damage to their weapon attacks once per turn. Moreover, the extra damage dealt by your Saga of battles feature increases to 1d8.
