\pagebreak ### Slugcat Half-cat and half-slug like creatures, they come in a wide variety of colors and are able to evolve odd traits for survival relatively quickly. Being able to move on all fours or move at a quicker paste on two legs. In addition, they are quite adept climbers because of their ability to rapidly shift their masses to reach advantageous handhold. Slugcats are mostly known to be in groups to help hunt and fend off predators in order to care for their Slugpups. Slugcats explore a world of ancient time that is long abandoned, taken over by creatures both fascinating and fearsome. Like Slugcats, the creatures in this world hibernate most of the time during the rain cycle, but must spend the dry periods between rain finding food to last another day. They have been given marks of communication by another race, and have since shared them amongst themselves to learn Slugfolk. Because of their small and weak nature, Slugcats that go out on their own for large periods usually don't last long. Often dealing with hungry predators twice their size, Including their complicated relationship with scavengers, with individual colonies varying in how they cooperate with them.
Part 1 | Your Introduction
### Traits All Slugcats have the following traits. **Ability Score Increase.** Can vary on subrace. **Age.** Slugcats grow rather quickly due to having to survive in a harsh environment reaching adulthood at the age of 5. Some not even making it to adulthood, lucky ones living up to 25 years and the best of the best living to at least 40. **Alignment.** Depending on what cruelty and struggle the creature had went through, can often strongly effect their alignment. Most Slugcats commonly sticking with good, neutral, or evil. **Size.** Slugcats are normally on the small side weighing only as much as 10-12lbs. Being only 2-4 inches tall crawling on all fours, and 6-9 inches tall standing on two legs. Basically about the size of a cat. **Speed.** Your walking speed and climbing speed is 30ft although speed can change based on subclass. **Amorphous.** You can squeeze through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide. You also have advantage on ability checks you make to escape a grapple. **Cat's Claws.** Because of your claws, you have a climbing speed of 20 ft. Additionally, your claws are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. **Stomach of Storage.** When you finish a long rest, gain temporary hit points equal to your proficiency bonus. If you were reduced to 0 hit points between your last long rest and this one, do not gain any temporary hit points. Stomach of Storage. As an action, you may swallow an object to place it in a cavity in your belly adjacent to your stomach. This object must be able to fit in your mouth, like a gem or a pocket knife, and the total weight of things in your secondary stomach cannot exceed 2 pounds or 6 cubic inches. As an action, you can retrieve any or all objects you have stored. \pagebreak ### Monk The monks are small yellow slug cats and probably the first generation of its kind. Learning peace and balance with the habitat they live in, commonly known for serving as scouts or leading foraging parties. **Ability Score Improvement.** Your charisma or wisdom score increases by 1. **Enhanced Karma.** Double the amount of temporary hit points you gain from Karmic Aptitude **Peaceful Aura.** This Slugcat are proficient in animal handling and when a beast comes within 50ft of them they can make an animal handling check to stop it from being or becoming aggressive towards you **Pet Master.** You have proficiency in animal handling. **Extended breath.** Can hold breath twice as long as the average Slugcat. **Cunning Action.** your quick thinking and agility allow you to move and act quickly. You can take a bonus action on each of your turns in combat. This action can be used only to take the Dash, Disengage, or Hide action.
### Saint Frail and armed with a long tongue. Having grown thick green fur to combat the cold, it's not uncommon to see whole colonies made up of Green Slugcats depending on the region. They can often be found using their tongues to grab and swing along surfaces, allowing them to traverse regions that would normally be very dangerous for other slugcats. **Ability Score Improvement.** Wisdom or Charisma by 2 or both by 1. **Fluffy.** You can resist cold damage. **Grapple.** Using your tongue as an action, you can choose to grapple someone with a range of 20ft and must succeed a DC Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) saving throw. **Attunement.** By 5th level you gain the blessing of attunement which makes it so you can fly and for a short amount of time (at least 10 minutes). or attempt to ascend other creatures your eyes opening and glowing white. With a range of 20ft/60ft and dealing 1d6 damage + Wisdom modifier. This can only be used 3 times before needing a long rest. Number of uses increase as you level up, 1 extra use and 2d6 damage by level 10, and 1 extra use and 3d6 damage by level 15, and 1 extra use and 4d6 damage by level 20. **Void Eyes.** You have proficiency in perception skill. **Enhanced Karma.** Double the amount of temporary hit points you gain from Karmic Aptitude

Part 2 | Subclasses
### Gourmand An indulger of the simpler pleasures in life. Carrying the world in your stomach gives many tactical advantages, but comes at an increased cost of sustainability. **Ability Score Improvement.** Increase Strength or Dexterity by 2 and Constitution by 1. **Heavy Cost.** Your movement speed decreases to 25ft and climbing speed is 15ft. **Rolling.** Gourmand can roll for a significantly longer time than other Slugcats, rolling into a creature deals 1d8 bludgeoning damage and a crit damage stuns them till the creatures turn. **Blubber armor.** AC increases to +2 **Chomp.** With the help of his hungry appetite, his bite does a total of 1d12 piercing damage at a range of 5ft. **Friendly Shape.** You have proficiency in the Persuasion skill. **Blessed Chef.** As a 1st level. spell, you can summon 1 of 3 different kinds of foods of your choice to appear in your hand and are infused with magic for the duration. A creature can use its action to eat one berry. **Bluefruit** - 3 Berries appear eating a fruit restores 1d4+2 hit points. **Cherry Bomb** - Summons 2 and throwing this at a creature deals 1d6 fire damage. Range 20ft-60ft. **Neuron Fly** - Summons 5 neuron flies which are small, edible objects. They have two thin tails connected to an oblong body with a white center. They shift colors randomly through red, white, blue, or purple lighting up a 10ft radius while floating. When eaten it heals 1 hp and makes you glow a 5ft radius also making you shift colors randomly.
### Rivulet The species of Slugcat has evolved, now adapting to life both at land and sea. Shifting to look like a blue axolotl. **Ability Score Increase.** Increases Dexterity and Wisdom by 1. **Coral Life.** You can speak, read, and write Coral **Water Walker.** Any water/liquid is now normal terrain rather than difficult terrain. **Sea Guide.** Has advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks when traveling through water. **Evolved Slugcat.** You breath water like how you breath air, while your Movement Speed increases to 40ft and your climbing speed increases to 30ft. **Slippery** You have advantage when escaping a grapple.

Part 3 | Subclasses
### Artificer Artificer Slugcats have an interesting ability that makes them pretty dangerous to be around. They are mostly employed as hunters and tend to work alone due to their potential volatility. You also wear a pack on your bag made to help carry small items specifically Sofanthiel. **Ability Score Improvement.** Increase Strength or Wisdom by 2 or both by 1. **Vengeful Knowledge.** Due to your history with Scavengers, you know how to speak Scav. **Concussive Blast.** As a bonus action, creates a large explosion of air around 5ft of yourself, dealing 1d4 force damage. Creatures within range must make a Dexterity saving throw or or be pushed 20ft away. DC is 8 + Dexterity. **Fixer Upper.** Can create weapons and tools with help of found blueprints. **Acid Resistance** Artificer can resist acid damage.
### Sofanthiel is Artificer's companion drone. It is a golden floating device with a single red eye which follows Artificer. Think of it as a physical familiar. Hit point total is 10. When hit points reaches 0 it has a blown out fuse and needs to be repaired before it can be used again. **Save Data** Can save information on items such as objects, blueprints, and maps. **Controlled Shock.** Attacks a creature with an electric shock. Creature must roll a DC Dexterity 14 Saving throw or take 2d6 lightning damage. In water damage increases to 4d6. **Carry Package** He can hold and carry the weight equivalent to about 6-10lbs which is equivalent to 1 slugcat or 2 slugpups.
Part 4 | Subclasses
\pagebreak ### Hunter A red slugcat with scars along its body, it's strong and quick, giving a fierce aura to its foes. With a hunger to become stronger as it explores along the path of extreme peril. **Ability Score Improvement.** Increase Strength or Constitution by 1. **Fast instinct.** Increases movement and climbing speed to 40ft. **Crit Spot.** Attacks that land directly on the creatures AC do an extra 1d6 damage. **Aggression.** For your turn you can move an extra 10ft or if you haven't moved during this turn, you may swing your melee weapon a again and your speed is 0ft until the end of the current turn. **Keen Sense.** Has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight, hearing, or smell **Darkvision.** You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray. **Dueling.** Attacks with a Melee Weapon deal +2 in damage **Uncanny Dodge.** when an attacker that you can see hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to halve the attack's damage against you. **Beast Eyes.** You have proficiency in Intimidation skill.
### Spearmaster An abnormality, who travels from a far away land; A feeling in your depths sets you out once again, messenger... You feel like you have roamed these lands before but you can't quite remember **Ability Score Improvement.** Increase Constitution by 2 and Strength modifier by 1. **Advanced Darkvision** you gained an advanced type of darkvision. You can see in dim light within 120 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray. **Draining Needles.** The unique needles you grow are natural weapons, which count as simple ranged weapons with which you are proficient. Once per turn as a bonus action you can pull out a needle and fling it at a creature up to 30 feet away, making an attack roll. You add your Dexterity modifier to the attack and damage rolls when you attack with a needle. They deal 1d4 piercing damage on a hit. When you attack with a needle and hit a creature that isn’t a Construct or an Undead, you can choose to regain hit points equal to the piercing damage dealt by the needle plus your proficiency bonus. You can use this bonus action any number of times, but you can only regain hit points with a needle a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. **Master Dueler.** Attacks with a Melee Weapon deal +4 in damage **Beast Hunger** Eating flesh can heal 1d6 hit points. (Can vary to DM's choice in size)
