A Drow emerges from a shadowed alley, dripping in the blood of her enemy: a drunken Dwarf who dared demand she smile.

An icy cackle washes through the echoing halls of Candlekeep where a Halfling has just cracked open a librarian’s ribcage as if he were a book she might borrow.

Like all Barbarians, the Unhinged Woman is most powerful when harnessing her rage. It is more than a fleeting feeling and often knows no bounds, eviscerating anyone caught in the crosshairs of the Unhinged Woman’s whims. While they may abide by some kind of moral compass known only to themself, many are agents of chaos who worship Tharizdun, the god of chaotic evil.

Unhinged

A twisted, dark hatred lives inside. Do what's right and show the world what it created.

As you become an Unhinged Woman at 3rd level, twice per short rest, you may become Unhinged as a reaction to taking damage. While Unhinged, you gain the following abilities until the end of your next turn:

  • You deal an additional 1d6 psychic damage on each your melee attacks. Each time you miss, you take non-reducible psychic damage equal to half your Barbarian level and gain advantage on your next attack roll.
  • Your movement is unaffected by difficult terrain, and spells and other magical effects can neither reduce your speed nor cause you to be paralyzed or restrained.

For 10 minutes after becoming Unhinged, you have advantage on death saving throws and you have disadvantage on Charisma checks and Wisdom saves.

When Unhinged would end at the end of your turn, you may choose to extend your Unhinged status until the end of your next turn instead by taking non-reducible psychic damage equal to your proficiency bonus.

Push Back

They try to destroy your mind, its time to push back.

At 6th level, when you fail a Wisdom saving throw while raging, you may use your reaction to end the effect and you may add 1d6 + your proficiency bonus to the first damage roll you make against the creature that forced the save. You may use this feature a number of times per long rest equal to your proficiency bonus.

Oh No! You’re Suddenly Killing Me!

You can fake being calm, like before the storm that destroys.

At 10th level, if you make an attack against any creature that hasn't taken a turn in the combat yet, you may expend a use of rage to enter a rage. For the purposes of that initial attack, you are considered raging.

Also at 10th level, you may now become Unhinged at the same time as you start raging.

Completely Unhinged

Follow your heart, be true to yourself, live your life, bring destruction and ruin to your foes.

At 14th level, while you are Unhinged, you gain 15 feet of movement and any creature that makes an attack of opportunity against you rolls with disadvantage.

Additionally, as a reaction to taking psychic damage while Unhinged, you may choose to Share Your Suffering, tripling the psychic damage you take and choosing one creature you can see within 60 feet to take that same amount of damage.
