A way of rewarding your players for being good at rolling their characters
⠀
### Introduction and how it functions
Sometimes players need a small push to become the best actors of the whole continent, and *better inspiration system* could be the way of making them shine!
The way it works is simple: When one of your players really gets into its character and makes the whole story flow your heart as a Game Master feels filled with passion, and then you reward your player with an **inspiration point**.
Is always up to you, the GM, to decide when a player gets a point: you can always ask them for god-like acting and give them a point once a month, or become chaos itself and give them a point every time you play.
Inspiration points **can be stacked**, and they have very useful purposes. It also doesn't interfere with the Bard's inspiration system and other similar classes. You can spend these points on the following options:
#### Re-roll
**1 point** | The player can choose to change the result of a roll at any time and regardless of who rolled the dice.
This means that natural critical the bad guy rolled can be changed at will, or that failed roll can be tried again.
The player can choose which result it wants once everything has been re-rolled.
#### Better loot
**2 points** | "What?! I don't like this thing you've gave me" "Ain't nothing better in this dungeon?"
By expending 2 points players can ask you for better loot on the chests, always capped to your likings, but at least they get new stuff.
By doing so, the loot they found disappears and is immediately replaced with a better one. The players can argue whether if the new loot is better or worse, and so vote to change it again.
With this they can ask to get, at most, a rare item.
#### Legendary success
**3 points** | "I don't want to miss this one". By paying this option a character can success any check it needs to make.
#### Even better loot
**4 points** | Like better loot, but they can ask for **any** specific loot, always somewhat limited to your choice, but is what changing time, space and probabilities does. With this they can even ask to get, at most, a very rare item.

#### Double xp
**2/4/8 points** | The character has learned a lot from its journey, and this time, he has become an even more awesome warrior.
When an xp count happens, the player can choose to duplicate the amount of experience earned.
Depending on the ammount of xp that you were about to give you can choose the cost of the duplication.
#### Ask for a feat or similar
**5 points** | The character has gone through some fighting and an awesome story. Their experience and their efforts lead them to become even better warriors, and so an hability they've always wanted to master comes to them by god's will.
With this the players can ask for a feat or similar, depending on which system you're playing, and they can apply it right away.
In order to bring some "equilibrium", this option is limited to **only three uses per player**.
#### Wildcard
**6 points** | Sometimes the story brings up a challenge and characters can fall into darkness.
With this option, players get a "wildcard" they can use to save anything from death, whether is one of the party characters or an specific NPC they want to keep alive no matter what.
Once saved from death, the wildcard will just disappear, although they can be stacked, once drained, they can immediately die again.
#### Wish
**10 points** | This whole guide is made for allowing your players to change destiny as a reward for making you, the GM, happy for having such an awesome group that has allowed you to have your dream's story come true.
If they've given you that much, maybe it's time you give them something they want, like a wish.
By redeeming this option the player in question gains access to a wish (not the "wish" spell), and can ask for whatever they want.
Although let's be honest, sometimes they can get out of hand, so you're free to limit the wish if fulfilling it would break the game's progression.

For years I've been in love with storytelling through Tabletop Games and modules, specially with D&D, and those years of adventures with awesome people and mainly as the Game Master lead me to create ways of upgrading the experience this games give to thousands of people all around the world!
At the moment you can find all our guides and projects on our Patreon, although they probably are or will be available at Kickstarter at some point in order to have physical editions.
