Way of Knowledge
The Force is a potent ally to those who devote their studies to it. Those Consulars who follow the Way of Knowledge utilize their erudition to enhance their force abilities.
Bonus Proficiencies
3rd Level Feature
You gain a set of Artificer's implements as well as proficiency with Artificer's implements. If you already have proficiency, you instead gain expertise. Additionally, when you engage in crafting with Artificer’s implements, the rate at which you craft doubles.
Academic Pursuits
3rd Level Feature
Your knowledge of the force influences your connection to it. You gain the following features:
- When you adopt this archetype, choose either dark or light force powers. You can cast powers of the chosen alignment and universal powers using Intelligence as your forcecasting ability.
- You use Intelligence to determine your maximum force points
- You use Intelligence instead of Wisdom or Charisma (your choice) when you use a Consular feature
Esoteric Scholarship
3rd, 5th, 9th, 11th, and 13th Level Feature
You gain access to a personal holocron. Over the course of a long rest, you can focus on your connection to the force and store force powers within your holocron. You must have your holocron and Artificer’s implements in order to perform this action.
You may choose 2 powers to record in the holocron, even if you do not have its prerequisite powers. You cannot store force powers higher than your max power level. While the holocron is on your person, you can cast powers stored in your holocron as if you had learned them and they do not count against your force powers known. You use your forcecasting ability modifier for these forcepowers.
You can record one additional power at 5th level, increasing again at 9th, 11th, and 13th level.
Your holocron requires attunement, can only be used by you, and counts as a forcecasting focus for your force powers while you are attuned to it.
When you finish a long rest, you may change which powers are recorded in the holocron.
There is Knowledge
6th Level Feature
Whenever you see a creature cast a force power, you may use your reaction to attempt to store that force power in your holocron for later use if it is of a level you can cast. Additionally, you can choose to replace or remove one or more force powers learned by this feature each time you use it.
Make an ability check using your forcecasting ability with proficiency. The DC equals 10 + two times the power’s level. On a success you store the power for later use. On a failure, the power is not stored.
Once you have used this feature on a creature, you cannot do so again on the same creature until you complete a short or long rest.
You can store an amount of levels worth of force powers equal to your Consular level at a time.
Additionally, when you make a ranged or melee hit, you can use your reaction to make an Intelligence (Lore) check contested by a target's AC to add your Consular level + your proficiency bonus to the damage rolled.
Force Flow
10th Level Feature
Your holocron is a vast repository of knowledge. As a bonus action, you can cast a force power from your holocron without expending your force points. You cannot cast a force power at a higher level than the force power in this way. You have a number of uses equal to your proficiency bonus + half your Intelligence modifier (minimum of 1). You regain all uses on a long rest.
Additionally, your knowledge of the force lends a boon to your abilities. Choose two skills that you are proficient in from Investigation, Lore, Nature, Piloting, or Technology. You gain expertise in those skills.

The Force is a Powerful ally
14h Level Feature
Your connection to the force bolsters your ability to withstand forcewielders. Whenever you are forced to make a saving throw caused by a force power, you can choose to substitute the following scores:
- Constitution for Strength saving throws
- Intelligence for Dexterity saving throws
- Charisma for Wisdom saving throws
You have a number of uses equal to your proficiency bonus + half your Intelligence modifier (minimum of 1). You regain all expended uses on a long rest.
Lorekeeper
18th Level Feature
Your knowledge of the Force is beyond contestation. You gain access to the following features:
- You can add your Intelligence modifier when you roll for initiative.
- You gain three additional Force-empowered casting options
- Choose two 3rd-level force powers you know as your signature powers. You always have these spells prepared, and they don't count against the number of spells you have in your holocron or on your Consular list. You don't expend force points for your signature powers and you use your universal forcecasting ability to cast them. When you do so, you can't do so again until you finish a short or long rest.
If you want to cast either force power at a higher level, you must expend a force point as normal for each level you increase.
