Bubble Domain

The Bubble Domain represents the delicate yet resilient nature of protection and preservation. Clerics of this domain understand the balance between vulnerability and strength, harnessing the fleeting yet powerful nature of bubbles to shield and support those in need.

Domain Spells

1st-level Bubble Domain feature

You gain domain spells at the cleric levels listed in the Bubble Domain Spells table. See the Divine Domain class feature for how domain spells work.

Bubble Domain Spells
Cleric Level Spells
1st Mage Armor, Shield
3rd Aid, Misty Step
5th Counterspell, Haste
7th Death Ward, Ice Storm
9th Cone of Cold, Greater Restoration

Bonus Cantrip

1st-level Bubble Domain feature

You gain the prestidigitation cantrip if you don't already know it. This cantrip doesn't count against the number of cleric cantrips you know.

Protective Bubble

1st-level Bubble Domain feature

As an action, you can summon a Protective Bubble around a willing creature of your choice within 30 feet that you can see. The bubble lasts for 1 minute, until it is destroyed, until you summon another Protective Bubble, or until you're incapacitated. A creature cannot gain the benefits of a Projected Bubble or an Adaptive Bubble while benefiting from a Protective Bubble.

The bubble protects the creature from all damage and magical effects that the creature is unwilling to accept. It has unrecoverable hit points equal to 5 × your proficiency bonus, and it shares the Armor Class of the creature it protects.

A creature who destroys the bubble must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC or take 2d8 cold damage. The damage increases to 4d8 at 6th level, 6d8 at 8th level, and 8d8 at 17th level. You can use this feature two times until 8th level, where you can use it three times, regaining all expended uses after completing a long rest.

Channel Divinity: Projected Bubble

2nd-level Bubble Domain feature

Whenever an allied creature that you can see within 120 feet takes damage, you can expend your Channel Divinity as a reaction to summon a Projected Bubble around the creature. The damage will instead target the bubble, dealing no damage to the protected creature, and the bubble is instantly destroyed. A creature cannot gain the benefits of a Projected Bubble while benefiting from a Protective Bubble or an Adaptive Bubble.

If the source of the damage was a creature, the creature must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 2d10 cold damage, or half as much on a successful save. The damage increases to 4d10 at 6th level, 6d10 at 8th level, and 8d10 at 17th level.

Channel Divinity: Adaptive Bubble

6th-level Bubble Domain feature

As an action, you can expend your Channel Divinity to summon an Adaptive Bubble around a willing creature of your choice that you can see within 30 feet. The bubble lasts for 1 minute, until you summon another Adaptive Bubble, until you're incapacitated, or until you lose concentration. A creature cannot gain the benefits of a Protected Bubble or a Projected Bubble while benefiting from an Adaptive Bubble.

The bubble gives the creature resistence to cold damage and nonmagical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. It gives the creature advantage on all ability checks and saving throws, it doubles its movement speed, and gives it a swimming speed equal to its walking speed.

Divine Strike

8th-level Bubble Domain feature

You gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with divine bubble energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 cold damage to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra cold damage increases to 2d8.

Field of Bubbles

17th-level Bubble Domain feature

Your Protective Bubbles begin to multiply. You can now target up to two willing creatures with your Protective Bubble feature for only one use of the feature. If you use the feature again, the two original bubbles will burst with no other effect.
