# Bubble Domain The Bubble Domain represents the delicate yet resilient nature of protection and preservation. Clerics of this domain understand the balance between vulnerability and strength, harnessing the fleeting yet powerful nature of bubbles to shield and support those in need. Through their divine connection, they summon and manipulate bubbles of magical force to protect, heal, and inspire. ### Domain Spells You gain domain spells at the cleric levels listed in the Bubble Domain Spells table. See the Divine Domain class feature for how domain spells work. ##### Bubble Domain Spells | Cleric Level | Spells | |:--------------|:-------------------------------------:| | 1st | Mage Armor, Shield | | 3rd | Aid, Misty Step | | 5th | Counterspell, Haste | | 7th | Death Ward, Ice Storm | | 9th | Cone of Cold, Greater Restoration | ### Bonus Proficiencies At 1st level, you gain proficiency with martial weapons. ### Protective Bubble Starting at 1st level, you have harnessed the powers of divine bubbles. As an action, you can summon a Protective Bubble around you or a willing creature of your choice within 30 feet. The Protective Bubble has the following attributes: - The creature it protects cannot take damage until the bubble bursts. - The bubble is not considered an object or creature, so it cannot be healed or repaired. - The bubble has hit points equal to your proficiency bonus times half of your cleric level (rounded up), bursting upon losing all of its hit points. The bubble will last until it bursts or if you summon another Protective Bubble. If the bubble bursts, all creatures within 10 feet of the protected creature must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC or 2d8 cold damage. The damage increases to 4d8 at 6th level, 6d8 at 8th level, and 8d8 at 17th level. ___ A creature cannot gain the benefits of a Projected Bubble or an Adaptive Bubble while benefiting from a Protective Bubble. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all expended uses after completing a long rest. \columnbreak ### Channel Divinity: Projected Bubble Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to blow bubbles on the fly. Whenever you or an allied creature that you can see within 30 feet is targeted by an attack, you can use your reaction to summon a Projected Bubble around the target. The attack will instead hit the Projected Bubble, dealing no damage to the protected creature, and the bubble instantly bursts. The burst from the Projected Bubble deals 1d10 cold damage to the attacker and halve its movement until the end of its next turn. ___ The damage increases to 2d10 at 6th level, 3d10 at 8th level, and 4d10 at 17th level. A creature cannot gain the benefits of a Projected Bubble while benefiting from a Protective Bubble or an Adaptive Bubble. ### Channel Divinity: Adaptive Bubble Starting at 6th level, you can use your Channel Divinity to create a bubble that can adapt to the situation. As an action, you summon an Adaptive Bubble around you or a willing creature of your choice that you can see within 30 feet. The creature gains the following benefits for 1 minute, requiring your concentration: - Resistance to non-magical and cold damage. - Advantage on all ability checks and saving throws. - Movement speed is increased by 25 feet and it gains a swim speed equal to its walking speed. After the duration, or if you lose concentration, the benefits will be removed from the creature and the bubble will burst with no other effect. A creature cannot gain the benefits of a Protected Bubble or a Projected Bubble while benefiting from an Adaptive Bubble. ### Divine Strike At 8th level, you gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with divine bubble energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 cold damage to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra cold damage increases to 2d8. ### Field of Bubbles At 17th level, your Protective Bubbles begin to multiply. You can now target up to two willing creatures with your Protective Bubble feature for only one use of the feature.
