# Thiren The Thiren are a race of anthropomorphic beings, known for their unique blend of human and animalistic features. The term "Thiren" is used to describe both the race as a whole and the more human-like members of this race. ## Racial Features A Thiren possesses the following features: **Ability Score Increase.** When determining your character's ability scores, increase one score by 2 and increase a different score by 1, or increase three different scores by 1. **Creature Type.** Your creature type is humanoid. **Language.** You can speak, read and write Common, Sylvan and one other language of your choice. **Size.** You are medium or small. **Speed.** Your walking speed is 35 ft. **Darkvision.** You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness as shades of gray. **Beastly Strength.** You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift. **Keen Senses** You gain proficiency in the Perception skill. Additionally you have advantage on Perception, Survival and Investigation checks. **Animalistic Ancestry.** Choose one of the following: - **Aquatic Ancestry.** You have a swimming speed equal to your walking speed and can breathe underwater. - **Avian Ancestry.** You have a flying speed equal to your walking speed. You cannot fly with heavy armor. - **Mammalian Ancestry.** You have a very articulate tail with which you can manipulate an object, open or close a door or container, pick up or set down a Tiny to Small object or wield a weapon that has the light property.
