Developed by Atlus Co., Ltd. Published by SEGA of America, Inc. ### #### Before We Begin... A bit of history of the server should be discussed. Persona: The Forgotten Wild-Cards is a text based Persona Roleplay that focuses on a group of late year highschoolers who after a 'freak' accident have forgotten the last two years of their life. The only thing they remember is their freshman/sophmore year of highschool just barley beginning and then poof, no recolation of what has happened to them. During this roleplay/campaign the character will traverse through The Abysal Night and Regular Life to reclaim their memories and life a somewhat normal life but what is a Persona Server without Personas ### #### Why are you so different? You must be wondering why you are no different than any other user of a persona and the answer is quite easy to explain. You have the unique ability to become one with your base persona to create a ultimate being combining both shadow and human. This form is only allowed once your power reached a certain point however so leveling up is crucial to obtain this power. ### # Mechanics ### The Mechanics are what will be covered here as it is important to make sure everyone is understanding of how things will work in the server, we will be covering the level up system, the time slots, the social links, and all the little things to make this a smooth transition between Player and the GM. ### #### Time Slots In this campaign, we’ll be using a time slot system similar to what you’d see in a Persona game. Every day is divided into four main parts: Morning, Afternoon, Evening, and Night. What you choose to do in each part of the day will affect your character’s growth, your Social Links, and how the story progresses. Think of it as balancing your time between school, fighting enemies, and building relationships. Here’s how it works: ##### Morning: This is usually taken up by school or work, so you won’t have as much freedom here. But important events in the story or clues about the Metaverse might happen. ##### Afternoon: This is your free time. You can hang out with NPCs to build your Social Links, complete side quests, or even take on some jobs to earn rewards. If we’re focusing on the Metaverse or Palaces, you can also explore and fight during this time. ##### Evening: Like the afternoon, you have the choice to spend time with friends, train your skills, or dive into combat in the Metaverse. But keep in mind that if you’ve already done something major during the day, you might not be able to tackle too much more. ##### Night: Most of the time, this is when you’ll rest to recover health and energy. But sometimes you can take on late-night jobs, study, or train for small bonuses before going to bed. The key thing to remember is that you’ll only be able to do one major activity per time slot, so plan wisely! If you explore the Metaverse in the afternoon, you might want to spend the evening boosting your Social Links or skills. The more you explore, fight, and socialize, the more perks you’ll unlock for your character and your Persona. So, balancing your time between these different parts of your life is what will help you grow.” ### #### Level Up System we’re using a level-up system similar to what you might see in games like Pokémon and Persona. Here’s how it works: \pagebreak ##### Levels Range from 1 to 100: Your character and their Persona will start at Level 1 and can grow all the way up to Level 100. As you gain experience from completing quests, defeating enemies, or advancing the story, you’ll earn XP (experience points) that will help you level up. ##### Gaining XP: You’ll gain XP from various activities, including: - Defeating enemies or bosses in the Metaverse. - Completing important story objectives or side quests. - Social Link interactions that give you bonuses or unlocks. The more challenging the activity, the more XP you’ll earn! ##### Leveling Up Your Character: When you reach a certain amount of XP, you’ll level up. Each time you level up: - Your HP (health) and SP (spirit points) will increase, making you stronger in battle. - You might learn new skills, unlock abilities, or get perks depending on your character’s arcana. - Your stats will improve, which means your attacks will hit harder, your defenses will be stronger, and your magical abilities will be more powerful. ##### Level Milestones (Fusion): Once your character reaches Level 40, they unlock their unique fusion ability. This means you can fuse with your Persona to create a stronger, more powerful version of yourself—this is a major milestone in your character’s growth, but it’s only possible once you hit that level! ##### No Persona Fusion: Unlike traditional Persona games, you won’t be fusing Personas to gain new ones. Instead, your Persona will grow with you as you level up. They’ll gain new abilities and become more powerful, but they’ll always be the same core Persona. Your connection with your Persona is unique and tied directly to your character’s growth. ##### Balancing Combat and Social Growth: Keep in mind, it’s not just combat that helps you grow. Building Social Links and taking on side activities like jobs or training will also help your character develop. While combat XP will boost your physical and magical abilities, your Social Link perks and side quests will unlock new skills and offer benefits that can change how you play in and out of battle. The goal is to balance between building your strength in the Metaverse and forming connections in the real world!” ### #### The Abysal The Abysal is this servers version of The Metaverse. But while in here you will still be fighting shadows and also dealing with people with distorted desires. As a fighter you will need a sheet. You will be making one on DNDBeyond and it will be pretty simple to navigate, one of the first things to cover is classes. #### Classes When you create a class it is important to realize that DnD 5e doesn't have the same classes as Persona. So when you pick you will pick the class that closely resembles your user, persona, and fusion. - One example will be a character who is a healer will be a cleric but their persona is sneaky so at level 2 will become a rouge and the ultimate is a powerful power house and you will add barbarian at level 8 This is to keep it down to one sheet rather than multiple. #### Soul Points Soul Points or SP are used to use magic based attacks, depending on the class you use will determine if you get the base SP Points or if you pick the magic based classes you will gain a x2 on the SP Points. For Example: - 1-5: 10 SP - 6-10: 20 SP - 11-20: 30 SP - 21-30: 40 SP - 31-40: 50 SP - 41-50: 60 SP - 51-60: 70 SP - 61-70: 80 SP - 71-80: 90 SP - 81-90: 100 SP - 91-100: 110 SP Only expectation are magic classes they gain ×2 SP so - 10 will be 20 - 20 will be 40 - And so on and so forth
