# Roguish Archetype: Inquisitive As an archetypal Inquisitive, you excel at rooting out secrets and unraveling mysteries. You rely on your sharp eye for detail, but also on your finely honed ability to read the words and deeds of other creatures to determine their true intent. You excel at defeating creatures that hide among and prey upon ordinary folk, and your mastery of lore and your keen deductions make you well equipped to expose and end hidden evils.
### Ear for Deceit, Eye for Detail (lvl 3) - While having a conversation with a creature, you get a bonus to any Wisdom (Insight) check you make to determine whether that creature is lying. The bonus equals the time you've been talking to them in minutes, to a maximum of your proficiency bonus. This is cumulative with proficiency and expertise. - Every time you would roll an Intelligence (Investigation) check, you can roll a Wisdom (Investigation) check instead. ### Insightful Fighting (lvl 3) - While searching a place, you get a bonus to any Wisdom (Perception) check you make to spot a hidden creature or object, and on Wisdom (Investigation) checks you make to uncover or decipher clues. The bonus equals the time you've been searching the place in minutes, to a maximum of your proficiency bonus. This is cumulative with proficiency and expertise. ### Unerring Eye (lvl 9) - If you don't have darkvision, you get darkvision with a range of 60 feet. If you already have darkvision, double the range of it. - You have truesight with a range of 30 feet. When you move more than half your speed on any turn, you lose that truesight until the beginning of your next turn. \columnbreak ### Eye for Weakness (lvl 13) While your Insightful Fighting feature applies to a creature, the number you need to roll to land a critical hit on that creature is reduced by 2. ### Discombobulate (lvl 17) When you roll initiative, you get the effects of the Haste spell for one turn, without the drawback. In addition, every hostile creature suffer the effects of the Slow spell for one turn.
