Curse Bearer

By AlbinoLoaf
A creeping malady has entangled itself with your very soul, creating a symbiosis of suffering and strength. This living, breathing curse whispers in your mind, shaping your flesh and warping your magic. It grants power at a terrible cost, for each victory you earn further entwines its dark threads through your spirit. The warlocks curse is tied to the soul and cannot be separated from the warlock as the parasitic curse empowers the warlock to survive and spread its taint. The curse can manifest in a plethora of ways, but it is conscious.

The curse can manifest in any way the players and DM agree on, In the table below are some suggestions.

Warlock Curse manifestation
Gel like bones
Thick dense and hard, scar tissue as skin
Unnatural skin (stone, transparent, Rotten)
Horrid pustules, leaking cursed fluid
Radiating with energy leaking light, lightning or the like
Unnatural eyes ( slit pupil, coloured eyeballs)

Bonus spells

The magic of your patron ensures you always have certain spells ready; when you reach a Warlock level specified in the Cursed Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

level Cursed Spells
1st Long Stride, Magic Missle
3rd Acid Arrow, Vortex Warp
5th bestow curse, Lighting Arrow
7th Confusion, Phantasmal Killer
9th Cloud kill, Contagion

Cursed Instrument

At 3rd level, the curse is a double-edged blade, deadly no matter which way it cuts. When ever the warlock makes a spell attack against creature within 5 ft of it the warlock treats it as a melee spell attack using their cursed Instrument.

Your cursed instrument is the object that represents your curse or might have afflicted it with you the curse itself. You may treat it as your spell casting focus.

Hex Mark

At 3rd level, when you deal damage to a creature, you can choose to mark it with your curse. You have a pool of Hex Marks equal to your Warlock level + your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended marks at the end of a short or long rest. You can have a number of creatures marked at once up to your proficiency bonus.
When you make an attack roll against a marked creature, you can expend the mark to add your proficiency on the attack roll. This removes the invoked mark.

Invoke cursed residue

At 6th level once per short rest the warlock can as an action expend all hex marks making them take an additional d8 damage when ever they are damaged, until the end of the warlocks next turn. This removes the invoked marks.

Cursed debilitation

At 10th level The curse that resides on your very soul has become a dangerous force that make enemies unable to fully control their bodies. As a bonus action or reaction you can expend a mark to give the creature disadvantage on their next saving throw or attack roll. This removes the mark.

Cursed host

At 14th level once per long rest the warlock can accept their curse as an action the the warlock gain a number of temporary hit points equal to their proficiency x charisma modifier, as the curse manifest more prominently. For 1 minute or until they have lost all the temporary hit points the warlock can place marks on an unlimited amount of creatures and their attacks deal additional damage equal to their charisma modifier against marked creatures.
