### Temporal Maturation
Whenever you cast a [chrono power](https://www.gmbinder.com/share/-LWIZb7AWSZkfwJFiG1Z) during a combat [encounter](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/BASICS-ABILITY-SCORES/GLOSSARY/#Encounter), the DC of its saving throw becomes increased by an amount equal to the number of rounds that have passed since that [encounter](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/BASICS-ABILITY-SCORES/GLOSSARY/#Encounter) began. For example, let's say that Connor the [chrono mage](https://www.gmbinder.com/share/-LWIZb7AWSZkfwJFiG1Z) (whose [wisdom](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/basics-ability-scores/ability-scores/#Wisdom_Wis) modifier is equal to three) is currently engaged in combat with Ryunosuke the [samurai](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/alternate-classes/samurai/). During the first round of the [encounter](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/BASICS-ABILITY-SCORES/GLOSSARY/#Encounter), Connor drinks a [potion](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/potions/) of [Bear's Endurance](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/b/bear-s-endurance) and Ryunosuke issues a [challenge](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/Alternate-Classes/samurai/#TOC-Challenge-Ex-) against Connor. During the second round of the [encounter](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/BASICS-ABILITY-SCORES/GLOSSARY/#Encounter), Connor casts [Rapid Recovery](https://www.gmbinder.com/share/-LWIZb7AWSZkfwJFiG1Z) on himself and Ryunosuke [charges](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/Gamemastering/Combat/#charge) towards Connor (he attempts to strike Connor with his [katana](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/equipment/weapons/weapon-descriptions/katana/), but his attack misses). During the third round of the [encounter](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/BASICS-ABILITY-SCORES/GLOSSARY/#Encounter), Connor casts [Backtrack](https://www.gmbinder.com/share/-LWIZb7AWSZkfwJFiG1Z) on Ryunosuke; under normal circumstances, the DC of [Backtrack's](https://www.gmbinder.com/share/-LWIZb7AWSZkfwJFiG1Z) saving throw would be equal to fourteen, however, since two rounds have passed since this [encounter](https://www.d20pfsrd.com/BASICS-ABILITY-SCORES/GLOSSARY/#Encounter) began, the DC of [Backtrack's](https://www.gmbinder.com/share/-LWIZb7AWSZkfwJFiG1Z) saving throw is increased (via the effect of Temporal Maturation) from fourteen to sixteen.
