Fighter: The Crimson Reaver
___ #### *"Cut down and devour. Only those who embrace the cycle of death and rebirth can transcend the self."* --- ### Fighters who follow the path of the Crimson Reaver embody a philosophy of brutal carnage and relentless combat. They believe true strength comes from dancing on the edge of death, forsaking defense in exchange for overwhelming offense. With every wound they suffer, their fury intensifies, making them unstoppable until their final breath. ###
Bloodletting Fury
*3rd level Crimson Reaver feature* Your strikes become deadlier as you sustain injuries. While below half your hit point maximum, you gain the following benefits: • Your melee weapon attacks deal additional damage equal to half your Fighter level (rounded up). • You gain temporary hit points equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum 1) whenever you land a melee weapon attack. • Your AC is reduced by 2 as you throw caution to the wind. ###
Crimson Rebirth
*7th level Crimson Reaver feature* You refuse to fall until you've had your fill of bloodshed. When you are reduced to 0 hit points, you can choose to drop to 1 hit point instead. If you do, you immediately enter a Frenzy for 1 minute: • You regain hit points equal to twice your Fighter level. • Your melee weapon attacks have advantage and deal an additional weapon die of damage. • Your movement speed increases by 10 feet. • You cannot take reactions, and all attack rolls against you have advantage. Once this frenzy ends, you suffer one level of exhaustion. You can use this feature once per long rest. ###
Bloodstained Legend
*7th level Crimson Reaver feature* Your reputation as an unrelenting warrior spreads like wildfire, instilling both awe and terror in those who hear of your deeds. You gain the following benefits: **Fear the Slayer.** When you crit or reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can force any number of creatures that saw the act within 30 feet to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Charisma modifier, whichever is higher). On a failure, they are frightened of you for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to *Fear the Slayer* for the next 24 hours. **Dark Reputation.** You have advantage on Intimidation checks against creatures that have heard of you, and you can use Strength instead of Charisma for these checks. \columnbreak **Death’s Emissary.** Your connection to the cycle of death gives you an almost supernatural presence. If you spend 1 minute speaking about battle, fate, or death, you can attempt to sway NPCs to either fear or respect you. Roll an Intimidation or Persuasion check contested by their Insight. On a success, they become more inclined to aid you, reveal information, or avoid conflict with you unless given a strong reason otherwise. ###
Crimson Afterimage
*10th level Crimson Reaver feature* Your sheer speed and aggression make you seem unstoppable. When you take the Dash or Disengage action, you can make one melee weapon attack as part of the same action. Additionally, when you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can move up to half your speed without provoking opportunity attacks. ###
Cycle of Carnage
*15th level Crimson Reaver feature* Your legend is one of endless slaughter. Whenever you use Crimson Rebirth, you no longer suffer exhaustion after it ends and you can now use Crimson Rebirth once per short rest. Additionally, if you reduce an enemy to 0 hit points while in Frenzy, you can extend its duration by 1 round (up to a maximum of 1 minute). ###
Blade Beyond Death
*18th level Crimson Reaver feature* Your body may break, but your spirit refuses to yield. When you activate Crimson Rebirth, you immediately regain all expended uses of Second Wind and Action Surge, allowing you to unleash a final onslaught. Additionally, while in Frenzy, you gain resistance to all damage. ###
