# Race: Niphiya (Half Angel Half Fae)
The fae are known for hiding amongst the mortals and playing tricks on the residents to get what they want, despite them being divine beings. Yes, these typically small illusionist and elementalist are creatures of heaven who have fallen just as much as demons, but not deemed necessarily evil. Angels sometimes congregate with the fae to plan and catch up on the going ons of the mortal realm. Frequent communication leads to budding feelings which lead to romance. Given angels ability to transform and disguise themselves, it doesn't take much for them to produce fruit. I wonder how the first pregnancy played out?... #### Speed Your walking speed is 30ft. #### Languages You know common, Celestial, and Sylvan. ## Appearance ### Size Your overall size is based on which race your mother is. **Fae Mother** You are limited in size. Growing no larger than a rabbit or eagle. **Angel Mother** You can be anywhere from a medium size to quite tall, but usually no more than 6ft tall. ### Inherited Mixed Traits Due to both angels and fae being divine beings, their traits mix fairly well and balance out. **Divine Beauty** You are gifted with a divine beauty that holds most everyone's attention. **You have a +1 to Charisma.** **Disguise Self** Starting out, you know the 1st level spell Disguise Self. When disguised, you also have to account for your wings. You are also limited to anything smaller or equal to your size. **True Sight** You can see through invisibilities and see people and creatures for what they truly are. **Eye Colors** Your eyes are said to reflect the heavens. They can be blue, grey, purple, green, or a golden hazel brown **Ears** Your ears can range from rounded to pointed. If Aqua Fae lineage, you also have the possibility for webbed fin like ears. **Human Qualities** For the most part, your face, skin tones, and hair colors and textures are human based and fully natural. **Fae Qualities** You have a slight shimmer to your skin. **Wings** You have rather large feathered wings that equal to about double your height when fully spread out. They increase in number based on your Angel Lineage. They cannot be retracted but can be held close to the body to resemble a cloak or cape. The wings are varied in color than denote the heritage of your fae parent. **When flying, your speed is 30ft. In combat, enemies have disadvantage when rolling to hit you if you are flying.** * **Flora Fae** multi colored bright colors or pastels (lighter versions of colors), any color of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet); no neutral colors (black, grey, white, brown) * **Aqua Fae** can have one to as many as three colors combined, "water" colors (blue, teal, cerulean, indigo, aqua, bluish greens, greens) * **Fauna Fae** females: neutral colors (blacks, greys, browns and beige); males: bright solid or two toned colors of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet); intersex: one wing female, one wing male. Based off sex at birth. * **Aer Fae** light and pastel colors, rare to have white wings but possible * **Lux Fae** pastel colors limited to light versions of blue, green, and yellow * **Militus Fae** intensely dark versions of all colors that almost appear black * **Regalis Fae** bright feathers of multiple colors of any possible mixture; the color your wings are usually give away your character. If your colors are that of the Flora, Aqua, or Aer Fae then you are very down to earth and care heavily about the balance on earth. If your colors are that of the Fauna Fae, then you have a special connection to non human beasts and animals. If your colors are that of the Militus Fae then you are very stubborn and strong headed and tend to fight first and ask questions later. \pagebreak
## Fae Lineage You only get one. Who your fae parent is can also limit the types of environments you were born and raised in. ### **Flora Fae** * **Origins** Found in places with high foliage: dense forest, luscious gardens, great farms, some are found on the banks by water with the Aqua Fae * **Background** You are a hard working individual that works to keep the natural cycles of life in check as well as the change of seasons. You have a natural affinity to nature. **Proficiency bonus in Nature and Survival.** * **Abilities** You know the cantrip Thorn Whip. ### **Aqua Fae** * **Origins** Found near and within bodies of fresh water: lakes and rivers, behind waterfalls, on the banks of all if lots of foliage exists * **Background** You are attuned to the weather and the natural flow of water. **You can breathe underwater and swim at a speed of 30ft.** Upon coming out of the water, your wings take 4 hours to dry and therefore your flying speed is halved. * **Abilities** You know the cantrip Shape Water. ### **Fauna Fae** * **Origins** Found in places that wild animals can be found: savannahs, deserts, dense forest, woods, and sometimes living on the banks with Aqua Fae * **Background** You have a natural affinity to animals and beasts as you help to ensure they are well taken care of and the circle of life is balanced. **Proficiency bonus in Animal Handling** * **Abilities** You can speak with animals naturally and gain +2 bonus languages. ### **Aer Fae** * **Origins** Found in high areas: forests and wounds with tall trees at the tops of them, high in mountains, sometimes make homes atop skyscrapers in cities as well as the tops of bridges if they are large enough. * **Background** You are attuned to the weather and can sense things on the wind and send messages in the wind so long as you know where the target of the message is and the wind blows in their direction. **Proficiency bonus in Perception and Deception.** * **Abilities** You know the cantrip Gust. \columnbreak ### **Lux Fae** * **Origins** Constantly moving, fae nomads. Tend to move with the sun or moon (sol or nox). If the sun/moon is being blocked they enter a period of rest. Sol Lux Fae are often found in high heat and humidity areas such as deserts and tropical islands. Nox Lux Fae are often found in cold frigid places that don't get much light aside from the stars and the moon majority of the year like the North or South Pole. * **Background** So long as you are within the light your are attuned to, you feel energized and filled with power. **Within your attuned light you have advantage of attacks and saving throws.** * **Abilities** You know the cantrip Dancing Lights. ### **Militus Fae** * **Origins** Can be found anywhere there is a high population of Fae, especially if the area has a Regalis Fae or a family of Regalis Fae. * **Background** You come from a long line of soldiers that defend and protect the fae world. **Proficiency bonus in Survival and Athletics** * **Abilities** You know the cantrip Eldritch Blast and gain +1 bonus language. ### **Regalis Fae** * **Origins** Can be found anywhere there is a high population of Fae * **Background** Your fae lineage is one of royalty. Everyone in the fae kingdoms know who you are. Whichever kingdom you are from will always be by your side and assist you. Any rival kingdoms will try to limit you or stop you from doing whatever you're trying to do. Any ally kingdoms will offer you refuge for free and may assist you based on the people's view of you. **Proficiency bonus in Persuasion** * **Abilities** You can the ability that matches the wing character to the correspondent fae. +1 bonus language and +1 bonus to Charisma. \pagebreak ## Angel Lineage You only get one. Who your angel parent is may determine special abilities you gain from birth. To keep things balanced, **I would recommend rolling 1d100 to find which hierarchy you can choose from. Higher hierarchies can have 1d20 roll for further chances to keep a semblance of balance.** ## Lowest Hierarchy Most common to be found on earth. Ranging from guardian angels and hidden rulers that enact laws. **1-60 on d100.** ### **Angels** Often seen as messengers and guardians, protecting individuals and places. Can sometimes not have wings and appear as regular human. It is possible to be raised by this parent as they train you to hide your wings. You can have a normal life if this angel is your mother. * **Abilities** You know the cantrip Guidance and the 1st level spell Sanctuary. ### **Archangels** Serve as messengers of God, delivering important messages to humanity. One pair of wings and incredibly strong. **You have advantage on strength saves.** * **Abilities** You know the cantrip Message and 1st level spell Shield. ### **Principalities** Often seen as rulers or princes, involved in the affairs of the earthly realm. Other angels on earth answer to them. One pair of wings. **You have advantages on charisma saves** * **Abilities** You know the cantrip Message and 1st level spell Protection from Evil and Good. ## Middle Hierarchy Found more in places that a holy on earth. Act as guardians of knowledge on earth as well as both guards and guides for the heavenly realm. **60-90 on d100.** ### **Powers** **1-12 on d20** Considered warriors, protecting God's system against evil spirits. Have 2 pairs of wings, totaling four wings. +5 to your base flying speed. Are known for being able to perform miracles. **If you have healing abilities (not potions), your healing does double.** * **Abilities** You know the cantrip Booming Blade and 1st level spell Protection from Evil and Good. \columnbreak ### **Virtues** **13-18 on d20** Responsible for the operations of nature and the movement of heavenly bodies. Have 2 pairs of wings, totaling four wings. +5 to your base flying speed. **+4 to Strength** * **Abilities** You know the cantrip Mage Hand and 1st level spell Searing Smite. ### **Dominions** **19-20 on d20** Associated with authority and leadership, overseeing the other angelic orders. Rule over the middle hierarchy. Have 3 pairs of wings, totaling six wings. +10 to your base flying speed. **You have advantages on charisma and strength saves, and a +4 to your Strength.** * **Abilities** You know the cantrip Booming Blade and 1st level spell Searing Smite. ## Highest Hierarchy Rarest to be found on earth as they work directly beside god and have godlike abilities themselves. **90-100 on d100.** ### **Thrones** **1-12 on d20** Represent God's authority and power, often depicted as guardians of God's throne. Have 3 pairs of wings, totaling six wings. +10 to your base flying speed. **+6 to Strength, +4 to Charisma, +2 to Wisdom** * **Abilities** You know the cantrip Chill Touch and 1st level spell Burning Hands. ### **Cherubim** **13-18 on d20** Associated with knowledge, wisdom, and guarding sacred places, like the Garden of Eden. Have 4 pairs of wings, totaling eight wings. +15 to your base flying speed. **+6 to Strength, +4 to Charisma, +2 to wisdom. Proficiency bonus to Arcana and Religion** * **Abilities** You know the cantrip Minor Illusion and 1st level spell Comprehend Languages. ### **Seraphim** **19-20 on d20** Known for their fiery nature and proximity to God, often depicted with multiple wings. Have 5 pairs of wings, totaling ten wings. +20 to your base flying speed. **+6 to Strength, +4 to Charisma, +2 to wisdom. Proficiency bonus to Arcana, Religion, and History** * **Abilities** You know the cantrip Eldritch Blast and 1st level spell Burning Hands.
