## Warden Conversion The Warden works in D&D 2024 reasonable well. It will have a few things that don't line up perfectly, and a few changes needed regarding weapon masteries. ### Subclasses You can leave the subclass at level 1. If you skip level 1 and 2, it doesn't make any difference. If you don't, Warden won't really make sense without a subclass, since their natural weapons depend on subclass. To balance this out, Wardens gain Weapon Mastery at level 3 instead of level 1, essentially flipping the subclass and Weapon Mastery. This works out moderately well in terms of balance. ### Added Weapon Masteries Since the Warden uses natural weapons, it gains the ability to add Weapon Masteries to those Natural Weapons based on its subclasses. two weapons of your choice* | \columnbreak ### Added Primal Manifestations **Primal Mastery** You gain mastery over one weapon you are proficient with of your choice, allowing you to use the mastery property of that weapon when making attacks with it. ___ **Primal Adaptation** You can add the Push, Slow, Vex, Sap, Graze, or Cleave to one natural weapon or weapon you are proficient with. You can only benefit from one mastery property per attack with that weapons at a time. ### Spells You can use the D&D 2024 spells without much issue. KibblesTasty spells should be fine in D&D 2024. ## Spellblade Conversion The Spellblade is mostly fine in D&D 2024, though it has been power crept by other 'gish' options in some categories. Since its subclass starts at level 3 already, there is no issue there. They gain Weapon Masteries, and minor buffs to account for the way that other gishes scale. ### Added Weapon Masteries The Spellblade gains the additional feature: #### Level 1: Weapon Mastery Your training with weapons allows you to use the mastery properties of two kinds of weapons of your choice with which you have proficiency, such as Longswords and Javelins. Whenever you finish a Long Rest, you can change the kinds of weapons you chose. ### Altered Spellstrike Spellstrike no longer 'fizzles' when you cast a cantrip. This means that you can deliver a spellstrike using a cantrip, as long as that cantrip makes an attack roll (e.g. *True Strike*). > ##### 'SCAGtrip'/Bladetrip Eligbility > The original 2014 Spellblade was intentionally designed to not work with 'SCAGtrips', but to account for the greater power creep of the 2024 version, you can now use them. This means you can combine a spell certain cantrips. > > This effectively increases the damage you do. Particularly when combined with Weapon Masteries, this means some options, like Booming Blade, are extremely powerful, but this is the sort of scaling that makes sense in 2024. ### Spells You can use the D&D 2024 spells without much issue. KibblesTasty spells should be fine in D&D 2024. You should add any cantrip that includes making a weapon attack roll as part of to the Spellblade spell list (such as *True Strike*). \pagebreakNum ### Spellcasting (Level 1) Spellblades should gain 2 1st level spell slots at level 1, and then follow progression as normal (like all other D&D 2024 half casters). ## Warlord Changes Warlords are mostly fine in D&D 2024 because their power scales with the power of their allies, meaning that if their allies are using D&D 2024 characters, the Warlord is already indirectly buffed. ### Added Weapon Masteries The Warlord gains the additional feature: #### Level 1: Weapon Mastery Your training with weapons allows you to use the mastery properties of two kinds of weapons of your choice with which you have proficiency, such as Longswords and Javelins. This mastery can be changed whenever you complete a long rest. * ***Potionsmith.** Applies to both the normal and improvised weapon use of a reaction. * ***Cursesmith: Curse Eater** Your new natural weapon inherits the mastery property of the consumed weapon. ### Added Upgrades **Animated Mastery** *(Prerequisite: Animated Weapon Feature)* When you use Animated Weapon, you can apply the mastery property to animated weapon attacks you make with that weapon. ## Occultist Conversion The Occultist requires no changes at this moment. ## Psion Changes The Occultist requires no changes at this moment.
