The target must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or become **frightened** until the end of its next turn. If the save succeeds, the target is immune to this Mummyborg’s Techno-Dread for 24 hours. > > #### Nanobot Infestation. > A creature that fails the saving throw against the Mummyborg’s **Nanobot Fist** becomes **infested** with self-replicating nanobots. An infested creature takes 7 (2d6) necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns and its hit point regeneration and magical healing are halved. The creature can repeat the save at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success. The effect also ends if the creature receives *lesser restoration*, *remove curse*, or *dispel magic* (DC 15). ____ > #### Self-Destruct Protocol. > When the Mummyborg is reduced to **35 hit points or fewer**, its internal core begins a 2-turn detonation sequence. While this protocol is active, the Mummyborg **can’t take the Attack action** (or use Techno-Dread), its **speed is doubled** (to 40 ft.), and it can use only **Dash, Disengage, or Dodge** on its turns. At the **end of its second turn** after the protocol begins, it **explodes**, is destroyed, and each creature within **20 feet** must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking **42 (8d6 fire + 4d6 force)** damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. > > A creature adjacent to the Mummyborg can use an action to attempt to abort the sequence with a DC 16 Intelligence (**tinker’s tools** or **Arcana**) check. On a success, the protocol ends and can’t be triggered again for 24 hours. A *dispel magic* cast on the Mummyborg also ends the protocol on a successful DC 18 ability check. > > ### Actions > **Multiattack.** The Mummyborg makes two attacks in any combination of **Nanobot Fist** and **Eye Laser**. > > **Nanobot Fist.** *Melee Weapon Attack:* +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. *Hit:* 11 (2d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage plus 7 (2d6) necrotic damage. The target must succeed on a **DC 15 Constitution saving throw** or become **infested** (see Nanobot Infestation). > > **Eye Laser.** *Ranged Spell Attack:* +7 to hit, range 120 ft., one target. *Hit:* 18 (4d8) radiant damage.
