Roguish Archetype: Thunderstorm
You focus your roguish talents not on the slow, quiet preparation that many rogues follow, instead practicing the quick and brutal techniques of the thunderstorm. Your lack of regard for the stealthier aspects of combat allows for the unpredictable, untrackable power of the Thunderstorm. A Thunderstorm strikes with the speed of lightning, ending most conflicts before they've even started. They draw their power from the deep well of the elements, utilizing energy to move at unprecedented speeds.
Celerity of Lightning
Starting at 3rd level, your connection to the storms allow for impossibly quick movement. When you use your Cunning Action ability to Dash, you may choose to lose the additional movement gained and instead teleport a number of feet equal to your speed to an unoccupied space that you can see. When you teleport in this way, a flash of lighting connects your start and end points, followed by a clap of thunder that is audible from as far away as 300 feet.
When you teleport in this way, you are able to use your Sneak Attack even if you don't have advantage on the attack roll or an ally within 5 feet of the target, but not if you have disadvantage on the roll. This benefit lasts until the end of your current turn. If you make an attack while this benefit is active, it can originate from any point along the path that you teleported.
Omen of the Storm
Also at 3rd level, you can sense threats like clouds on the horizon. You can add your proficiency bonus to your initiative rolls. Additionally, you have a +5 bonus to your passive Wisdom (Perception) and passive Intelligence (Investigation) scores.
Tempestuous Aspect
At 9th level, you become infused with an aspect of the storms that roil in your veins. When you finish a long rest, you may choose one of the following aspects to embody and gain the benefits of. The benefits fade when you finish a long rest.
Shifting Cyclone. You gain the adaptability of a swirling cyclone. You may choose one skill or tool proficiency you are not proficient in and gain proficiency in that skill. When you finish a short rest, you may swap this skill to a different skill or tool proficiency you are not proficient in.
Looming Fog. An aura of gloom hangs in a 5 foot radius around you, which is considered lightly obscured. Creatures including you in the area have resistance to fire damage.
Tempest’s Majesty. You are imbued with the powerful majesty of a great tempest. You have advantage on Charisma (Intimidation) and Charisma (Persuasion) checks.

Lightning’s Child
At 13th level, your strikes and movements become like bolts of lightning colliding with your enemies. When you deal damage with your Sneak Attack feature granted by the Cunning Action taken in the Celerity of Lightning feature, you may choose for it to deal lightning damage instead of the normal damage it deals. When you choose to do this, the damage increases by 1d6. Additionally, when you dash on your turn, your speed is doubled until the end of your turn instead of the normal benefit. Finally, when you make a Dexterity saving throw and succeed utilizing your Evasion feature, you may move up to your speed to a point that is outside the area of effect of the effect that caused the saving throw, without provoking opportunity attacks.
Stormcaller
At 17th level, your connection to storms is so powerful that you can summon one to your aid. You can cast Control Weather as a bonus action without expending a spell slot. Once you do so, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest. When you cast Control Weather
in this way, it lasts for one
minute. You may only change
the precipitation to stage 5 and
the wind to stage 5, and when
you do so the change takes place
in the next round. You and a number of
creatures equal to your
proficiency bonus are unaffected
by the weather conditions from
this spell.
While you are in a
storm created by this
spell or a natural one, the
crackling electricity and
pouring rain empower
your thunderstorm abilities.
Once per turn, you may use
your Cunning Action: Dash
granted by your Celerity of
Lightning ability without
using your bonus action.
