The Cosmic Mind origin for Sorcerer

At One With Everything

The influence of your magic is guided by a total connection to the cosmos. The breath of existence is within you, both affecting your magic and leading you through life. Those touched by the universe itself are often highly observant of their surroundings, in tune with the world around them, and capable of connecting with others for the benefit of all.

Subclass Features

Microcosm

1st-level Cosmic Mind feature

You are in tune with the greater cosmos, which is reflected powerfully in the area around you. You constantly emanate a cosmic aura within 15 feet of you while you aren't incapacitated. This cosmic aura grants the following benefits:

  • You have blindsight with a range equal to its area.
  • You cannot be surprised by creatures within its area.
  • When making a Wisdom ability check regarding a creature, effect, or object within its area, you may add your Charisma modifier to the roll.

Tranquility

1st-level Cosmic Mind feature

You don’t need to sleep, and magic can’t put you to sleep. You can finish a long rest in 4 hours if you spend those hours in a trancelike meditation, during which you remain conscious.

If you spend 1 hour in this state, such as during a short rest, you can regain a number of expended sorcery points equal to your sorcerer level divided by 4 (minimum of 1).

Macrocosm

6th-level Cosmic Mind feature

Your connection to your surroundings has an even greater reach. You may expend any number of sorcery points to extend the range of your cosmic aura. Each point expended doubles its range. For example, 1 sorcery point would extend it from 15 to 30 feet, 2 points would extend it from 30 to 60 feet, and so on. This range extension lasts for 10 minutes or until you are incapacitated.

Universal Reach

6th-level Cosmic Mind feature

Your magic can fly as far as your cosmic senses can carry it. Any target within your cosmic aura is considered within the range of your spells, as long as they don't have a range of "self."

Cosmic Vibrations

14th-level Cosmic Mind feature

You achieve total awareness and are at one with those around you. The blindsight of your cosmic aura becomes truesight, and creatures of your choice within your cosmic aura receive all the benefits of that aura.

Continuum Awareness

18th-level Cosmic Mind feature

You can empower your awareness with a limited ability to see into the future. As a bonus action, you can imbue your cosmic aura with the following benefits for 1 minute, or until you become incapacitated:

  • You have advantage on attack rolls against targets within the aura.
  • You have advantage on saving throws against effects which originate within the aura.
  • You have advantage on ability checks regarding creatures, effects, and objects within the aura.
  • Attack rolls against you which originate within the aura have disadvantage.

Once you have used this bonus action, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you spend 5 sorcery points to use it again.
